We aren't getting Maddison and for the prices quoted I'd prefer Pacquetta. I'd be happy with Werner but am not entirely sure what role he fills, I'd worry we'll play him as a central forward and he'll just disappoint. Controversially I'd be happiest with Cornet. He fits exactly into a role we need, his numbers were good last season in the premiership (his first season and one where he went off to AFCON midway through iirc), and the price is very good.
Remember Wilson will be fit. And Miggy had been electric. If we signed Maddison we would have a very strong Midfield.
Miggy is always fine in no pressure games. Different gravy in PL. Wilsons looked poor. Wood is garbage. I’d love Maddison, cracking player, but we desperately need a striker.
If we sign Maddison then buy up to 10 NUFC posters off here a pint in the mile castle at a meet up. up to 5 of them may be my socks though so I can drink the first 5.
