I really don't get how this is relevant or anything to be celebrated.

It just seems incredibly hypocritical from the UK's point of view but also that of the other competing countries.

These are nations we invaded, murdered the inhabitants and imposed our laws ...

... isn't that exactly what we're condemning Russia for?
 
Aye. We are constantly apologising for our ancestors past behaviour. Behaviour which had been common practice around the globe amongst powerful leaders for milleniums. I'm still waiting for Italys apology on behalf of those pesky Romans for their slavery and for blotting our landscape with their big long wobbly wall and straight roads. Still, if they put on a sports day on our behalf then I might just start being able to stomach eating pizzas again.

Buggered up the timing on the flypast.

As much as I take the piss out of the Reds - I'm allowed - they'll have been bang on time.
 
I hope with the money it brings to the city, they can teach people how to drive. Was down there last month, absolute f**kin nuggets. The indicator must be an optional extra on cars down there.
