    Different breeds for meat.
Not a lot on a dairy cow.

I presume it needs to be pretty fresh.

In your experience, is there any risk of a backsplash?

Today I'm genuinely sad to hear of the passing of Bernard Cribbins.
    RIP Bernard

    A national treasure.
Has been on tv / in film in current productions for the whole of my life. Spanning 50 years on Dr Who, Carry On films, The Railway Children, and the list goes on.
Not only that, but a keen angler. Some great fishing programmes including Catching the Impossible.
    A sad loss.

Just resurrect this thread for a mo as a change from our football discussions.

Got a phone call from Mauritius yesterday from a bloke I know asking me if I fancied a weeks holiday in a property he owns. <yikes>

It wasn't that good though....<laugh> He's on holiday there and the property he was talking about was the cottage we stay in up in Bucks - we were up there just a few weeks back early July. He'd had a cancellation and wondered if we'd like a private deal for a week starting Friday 2nd Sept rather than him going back through the agency - I've always liked a deal. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Of course I had to check the City fixture list first <whistle> and it works out fine. Away at Millwall on the 3rd and at home against Hull on Sat the 10th - I'll be back for that.

Kerchink - transferred the agreed dosh straight into his bank account and all good to go. Now to get the stocks in..........<laugh>

    Nice.

We've got no trips away planned for the foreseeable.
Watching the weather though and as soon as we get a good dump of rain in the Scottish Borders I'll be heading north for a few days in hope of catching a salmon or two.
I do have an open invitation to fish for salmon on the beat I fish for trout and grayling in July. Same thing there. Need rain, oh and the rain to coincide with a trip to mam's.

May try get a long weekend away in the calendar at some point (it is mine and Mrs Brizzle's 21st wedding anniversary tomorrow so I dare say I owe her a treat) but am also hoping to get out to Gran Canaria in November to coincide with Wales's two opening World Cup games.

There's a fun bar run by a long time Cardiff City fan in Puerto Rico that we always frequent when we are out there. It should be an excellent place to watch the games from.
Used to have a pair of Blades fans helping run it who were a fantastic couple but sadly they had to return to blighty a couple of years back for health reasons.
