Are you all bloody miserable or just realists?

 

Well it’s a hard one to call. The football will be a lot better than last year’s opening fixture but I still have this nagging feeling that we won’t have the quality and experience to win this one. Can’t wait to go on Saturday and by 4:45 we should have a better idea of what we are capable of,

 

....we'll have either won it or lost it by then.............

 

Yep. The friendlies worked well for us but as you say, by the end of the game we'll have a first indicator. Not season defining by any means.

 

Or drawn??????

 

I'd take that - I wonder if I should change my prediction.

Nah, why change the habits of a lifetime.......

 

I will probably do a draw but will wait to see our team before predicting a scorer..........if any.

(Have secretly fancied myself as a writer but don't think I have the discipline to do the threads on a really regular basis)...

 

I think you'd do a brilliant job.
I'm happy to fit in with whatever is required.
Why not do the Norwich thread and see how you feel about it? I think when you're a natural writer like your goodself, it won't require too much discipline.

 

Shucks.... You say the nicest things but when it comes to eloquence and knowledge I believe you definitely have the edge.

I'd be happy to give it a go but would just be worried that I'd go MIA too often and end up leaving someone to have to step in as a last minute substitute for me....

Ok, I'll step up for the Norwich game if there are no objections from the masses or unless anyone else would like to step into Masky's shoes now that he has decided to gracefully put the pen down.

I really want to be able to predict a win but I can't see it yet. A draw this early on the season against Norwich will be a good result for us.
