I know it’s probably not a popular opinion, but I think if we are unable to get a top tier choice (from our targets) at 10 this window, then we wait. The players we have in attacking position are wholly uninspiring (generally) but I’d rather we didn’t panic buy a load of nonsense and make it harder to made additions in that position later. We do have some standards.

I don't disagree with this. But looking at the fixture congestion this season, the age of the players bought in and the need to stay in the premierleague - having someone come in on loan to add quality right now might be a decision the top brass think is necessary IF we don't land one of our targets.

Oh sure. But that’s a very different proposition than committing a fee, plus contract commitment, to a player who isn’t the right fit or good enough. We need a body to cover minutes so let’s get one is how you get Theo Walcott. As we’ve seen, shifting those players on can be hard when nobody wants them. Alongside Gao that’s been arguably been our biggest issue for the last few years.

On this Braithwaite links - surely it should only be considered if it is:

- on a free
- in addition to a higher profile signing (for a total of three forward signings) with Armstrong going out on loan

If he is one of the four it is a terrible idea. But I have just seen a tweet mentioning us, West Ham and Getafe. And earlier saw mention of two different La liga clubs. So screams of agent talk. Potentially with premier league interest being floated to get him higher wages in Spain ?

I saw Vokins was a sub in the B team game, the other day.
Has his time on loan done nothing to turn him into a genuine candidate for back up to Perraud?
From what I can remember of the few times I saw him, he was ok going forward but needed to improve the defensive side of his game.

he is starting against Eastleigh tonight, but if he can’t get in ahead of Djenepo then I would say his time here is done and he is up for sale

Why would we sign Aaron Ramsey when we’ve already signed the guy who kept him out of the team?

Think there’s a high chance he turns up at Forest on a big packet.

Experience, creative, good back up.

Guess he’d want stupid wages though. But if it was cheap so he can get games before the WC then I’d be ok with it.

He’s better than Theo
