Dont have any forward players by choice. Theres lads out there we can sign and we argue over pennies.
They both sound like cocktails. I'll let you buy me one when it's your round in Tenerife. When it's mine we'll stick to San Mig.
I have a feeling we will too. If it's £35m.. just get it paid ffs. I think the lad is worth it. Over 5 years it's just £7m a season and if we flog him in 3-4 years we'll likely make a profit anyhow.
I actually think there may be something in the Chelsea maxi rumours. I would hate to see him leave us and then destroy the league for Chelsea. But it’s possible.
While many seem to want max gone I look at the fact he's involved with almost every goal we score. It's something fans do when things aren't going well which is go after the more capable players. Max is what he is... As a weapon, a weapon with limitations, but a weapon not everyone has.. He's a useful player for us especially at home.
But things are going well mate. Our end of season form was excellent and our transfer dealings thus far have been fine. One more good signing turns the transfer window from good to excellent.
Maxi is under appreciated and now we have some solid defenders and a tactically sound manager I think he could blossom with a bit more license getting forwards. In his three years he's Played 86 (EPL games) Scored 11 Assisted 13 Goal contribution every 3.5 games Majority of which has been under Bruce so I expect him to improve on those number this year. Made 10 goal contributions in 35 games last year - he needs to be hitting 15-20 really but he did say himself - give him a striker who can finish and see what he can do. Wilson is a great foil for him but only fit 50% of the time so we need someone there to pick up the slack when he's out of the team. Personally I wouldn't sell him - he is the kind of player who we should be looking to keep long term even if we bring in better players he's a better back up than Murphy and Almiron...
