I’m not wholly convinced that wasn’t just Frost rubbishing those threatening his preferred candidate. As with Cummings, I just read this stuff as bitchiness from people that ought to know better. Not that I give much of a ****, to be honest.
Hard to see a path for Mourdant now. Not sure Rishi has quite enough votes to start lending them out in the way Cameron, Clarke and Johnson did. Rishi vs Truss and my money would be on Truss but I don't think it's quite as much of as a done deal the polling suggests.
Maybe. Frost seemed genuine when he appeared with Farage. And there are others saying the same thing. Hard on Mordaunt if it's a pack of lies
This is the same Frost who extolled the benefits of being in the EU in 2015 because it was worth £1500 a year for every household in the U.K.? Yeah, I don’t trust him either.
It's a good campaign video in fairness. That debate was an absolute gift to Labour. Hence the last one being cancelled.
I completely agree. I’d love to say the Tory Party and these candidates represent me, but I’d be lying.
I rather like Mordaunt to look at, but she's a complete airhead. Having said that though, so is Truss. Sunak is by far the strongest candidate, but the blue-rinsers don't like him. What larks. For entertainment, I hope Mordaunt wins, but for the good of the country over the next two years, I hope it's Sunak. None of them can win the next election though, and a lot of Tories want Johnson back. It's a complete farce.
For a man who doesn't understand the concept of truth even he will have difficulty in explaining how he was sacked as his supporters now claim when he resigned less than 2 weeks ago. But yes, let's bring him back. And consign the Conservative Party to oblivion in two years time. Go Boris go. We're rooting for ya. 'Cliff approaching' said the Chief Lemming. 'It's right in front of us.'
It will happen … The camera will roll into the bathroom of #10 and Boris will step out of the shower … it’s all been a dream … he’s still PM … everyone loves him and Ellers is there holding the towel out and begins to dab Boris dry. Just another day in the life of ‘Boris PM’.
I don't think the outcome of the next GE is by any means a foregone conclusion, Strolls. When push comes to shove many Hobbits in the Shires will look at Sir Keir and his Orcs and ask themselves what exactly they'd be voting for. Does anybody really know what his policies are? Not being the Tory Party may not be enough and the likes of The Ginger Growler can be as much of a turn-off to some, as a turn-on to others. Mind you, I can't see myself voting at all unless there's a "none of the above" option or a decent independent candidate in my primordial soup.
Starmer certainly has to start coming up with some policies very soon. I hope he keeps the re-nationalisation platform from the last manifesto, but fear he won't. This, and his ruling out of rejoining the Single Market could well see my vote being cast for a different party. Having said that, I fully expect Labour to form the next government, most likely in coalition.
