Yes, very sad, good palyer in his day when 100% fit.
He’ll probably be looking towards his coaching badge soon, another ex player aiming to extend his life in The Beautiful Game.
 
It's a crying shame.

The lad is twice the defender John Terry is, if he'd have been fit his whole career, HE would be England captain, with 100 caps easily.

I met Woody on holiday a few years back, spent a few hours having a drink and that, he was an absolute top lad, no 'look at me' about the lad at all, just a normal young lad who happened to be very good at football.

It's to be expected to an extent to get a muscle strain after so long out, i wish him ll the best and hope it's minor.

Here, Here, probably one of the best defenders England has produced over the last 15 years, shame about his injury record though.

Real Madrid don't buy numpty's do they? had it not been for his injuries we'd be talking about a world beater now and i dare say England might have done better in their World Cup exploits.
 
Top defender but has to be game over now.
It’s not enough to just have talent; you also need a fair bit of luck.
Sadly for him he just did not have both
