Maybe we play Tetteh and Estupinan together. Did a podcast ep recently looking back on the Long-Jelavic partnership, don't think we've had a combo as deadly as them since, and these two sound like they have the right attributes.

If that's the plan, we need another striker :emoticon-0102-bigsm

If we're trialling Ally as striker against Fenerbahce, (currently) have Wilks, Scott and Smith who can fill in there, could well play two up top in the occasional game as an alternative formation, with one or the other getting rests where needed, with enough depth to come on at a pinch. But wouldn't mind Archer or someone on loan as well.

Oscar looks a real coup and Tetteh can cover left side if he isn't through the middle.

I know they played 343 against Fener but we do t seem to be recruiting that way. Surely we wouldn't go into a season dependent on wingbacks with only 1 one fit senior on the right in that position in the travelling squad?

That's the curious one for me.

We're signing 2 no. 9's. Oscar and Tetteh.

The left winger, Sinik is also (sic) 'done'.

In talks with a ball winning DM. And a long way to go in the window.

We aren't getting Archer, and Wilks, Scott and Smith are all cack and likely to be gone by August.

We're still a bit light up there

I know that's why I suggested we could play them together.

Acun seemed to suggest this was the bulk of our business. I'd be surprised if once we sign the two strikers, Sinik and the CDM if the rest of our business is much more than topping up with loans.

I said we currently have them. Why aren't we getting Archer? People would have said we're not getting Seri at the start of the window..

Think there's a few good opportunities for loans from PL clubs.

Baz has reported (whilst embedded in the camp) on hull live that both Oscar and Benjamin are expected to sign.

Sinik also but If we're playing wingback, Where's the cover for Coyle?

Because if Villa loan him out, it'll be to a club that has to start him every week and we don't have a spot for that. They'll also no doubt want a stupidly big loan fee

I'm pretty certain we'll spend a good amount more money yet. There's still major holes to fill and depth to add

I'm confused, did you mean to quote me? In the post you quoted I reference Oscar and Tetteh, they're 'the two strikers'.

So maybe it's Archer and one of Tetteh and Estupinan who start every week, who knows..

I think we'll be looking for a few ambitious loans from the PL. Maybe not literally Archer, but someone of that quality.

I think the depth will be loans, I don't see us spending a significant amount more money.

Yeah, they are. 9's but Tetteh can play left in a 3.

Think there might be a ball winner DM come in, but think there may be more versatile cover also on the radar, be it loans or whatever.

There's been zero indication that we'll be playing 2 up top, it's safe to say it not happening. We've spent £7m on wingers in the last 2 windows so that would make them utterly pointless.

Domestic transfers are tough, everyone's fighting for the same players and all these loanees will be coming in as backups which makes it even harder to get them in.

Loans coat a **** load of money when it comes to Archer level having impressed last year at Preston. Think Wilson or Tomori after us.

I thi k you probably have a point that once permenants are largely done they might look at loans in and out.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if we didn't do anything else domestically. I think it'll all be foreign

I really don't think loans are ever the ambition though. Plenty of clubs try to have none/as few as possible. I won't lie, I'd be pretty disappointed if we filled the rest of our holes with loans. We've literally just got the Keano money, so there should be no reason to do that.
