    Not ideal but worked out for us last season. Remember a load saying Wigan would thrash us on the first day because we hadn't recruited early.

    I am not itk, but it does seem reasonable to assume that we will be after good players that are currently in, or close to, Premiership league squads. So until these teams have almost finalised their squads we do not know who is available to buy/loan.

    I am confident Clarke will be back here on a permanent deal. We have a good rapport with Tottenham when it comes to transfers.

    He is a player I really warmed to during his loan spell. The improvement we saw over the period was great. A couple of seasons here, developing, and the lad could be a superstar. He has pace, great presence on the ball, excellent timing of delivery. I love the way he wants commit players all the time. A bit of experience in terms of when to come in versus stay wide needed, but that will come with games and coaching.

    The boy has really good upside, any doubters need to just watch his 2nd half performance against Sheff Wed in the 2nd leg. As you said with more experience he could become a top top player
