As I posted earlier now we have yet another midfielder; who is he going to play?

And yes he now has to make every effort to get 2 strikers in given Collins is potentially leaving

Going back to cling's observation regarding no of subs and adding Morisons goal for high tempo, I can imagine us making 2 or 3 substitutions in midfield every game, so my comment on a bloated squad is probably over stated.
Agree we need a striker or two though.

On the 5 subs rule, when it became possible to make 7 subs in rugby, the last 20 mins became farcical as all structure was lost. Took 4 or 5 years to sort it out.
Hoping football doesn't experience the same.

Sawyers plays as a no. 10 rather than the other grunt and grind mid fielders we have.

Exceptions are Colwill, King and Sang.

    Sang likely to leave.

King to go out on loan for regular game time, Div. 1 possibly.

Colwill to stay and continue development.

Sayers first no. 10 since Tomlin. Hope he satys fit - unlike Tomlin.

I’m popping down to the Cambridge friendly tomorrow and I was wondering what kit we will wear. I mean the brand as the Adidas is now out of contract and I can see no communications yet about our new kit. Surely it should be out by now.

Have squad numbers been given out yet?
Was wondering if players would wear their numbers pre-season or just grab a shirt that fits.

Have we signed a striker yet?

Come on Morison, what have you been doing? We need signings. We're being left behind.:emoticon-0100-smile

TBH I'm not expecting much from the NB kit.

They have a few interesting designs but the majority are pretty dull/identikit.

I did see the mock up below from someone a while back that is literally a blue version of an old NB Liverpool kit .. at the least I'd hope for something more updated than a rehash of older kits from other teams.

I've got tickets for tomorrow too, I read somewhere that the team tomorrow will be wearing our new kit.

Also read it's a lighter blue than last year and has a white v neck and bluebirds over the back.

Just remember that it's only what I've read.

I guess it's the same set of questions:
    Who's available?
    Who can we afford?
    Who will fit in?
    Who will make a difference?

I think options are considerably limited and I'd hate for us to buy or borrow just for the sake of it.

True Clingo but we can't rely on any of the 4 listed to score anything like regularly. Did they get 10 between them last season?

When Collins goes the remaining 3 inspire no confidence in their ability to worry the back of the net

Hear you loud and clear and share your concern but I have to go back to my four questions.
I guess the other consideration is the the fact that last season had two distinct phases. The disaster under Mick followed by the rescue and change of style. It may or may not be a longshot but perhaps a stronger midfield might give better opportunities for the players we have to score
    Time will tell

Called down the stadium on Wednesday to find the club shop closed for a refit. I know shops have to refresh their premises every now and then but as a retailer I do find the City pretty poor
