I now hope that Johnson panics into calling an election as I have changed my view on him still being able to win. I would add that despite my change of view, I wouldn’t be totally surprised if the English voters did try to keep him in power because the Tory party has become the English Nationalist party.
Should an election be called, opposition party election leaflets should all include pretty much the same information, along the lines of “If you were disgusted by Johnson’s lies, corruption and abuse of power, then the Tory member standing for election repeated his lies, supported his corruption and enabled his abuse of power by voting for some of the most draconian and anti freedom laws this country has ever passed. A vote for them is a vote for Johnson and his very low standards”.

Tbh a majority of people in England didn’t vote Conservative last time either (although barely anyone ever gets a majority of votes, just another problem with FPTP and the way it misrepresents the public).

Right now I’d say Lab minority with the Lib Dems hopefully having enough seats for supply and demand with some kind of deal for electoral reform.

I am feeling hopeful, which is dangerous.

Hopefully there would be enough tactical voters to get the lying tory slime bags out. I can`t understand how any decent, moral individual could vote for them.

I know the where the comment came from originally but using language "worthy of the Mail at it's worst" was apparently unworthy, yet here we are. Just pointing out the double standards.

Rickie Lambert over on Instagram saying that *they* are pushing Boris Johnson out to replace him with Kier Starmer, because Boris isn’t advancing “the agenda” quickly enough for *them*.

I, like everyone else I assume, would be fascinated to know who “they” are and what “the agenda” is.

And to a lesser extent how they involve putting Starmer in charge. Gosh if that really where the plan then it would be a case of blackmailing 50 odd conservatives to defect. Why are “they” pulling their finger out and doing that !

Oh dear Rickie. That’ll be Bill Gates and George Soros no doubt.

****ing hell, what is it with our former No7s? Praying Shane Long doesn’t come out as a Qanon mentalist next.

I think he will be talking about the globalists such as Klaus Schwab the World Economic Forum who have stated quite plainly that their goal is some weird techno-communism where we all live in pods and eat bugs

I hope that the voters take notice of all those politicians who have stood by Boris but now find it convenient to disown him. Boris never changed his spots and, as pointed out by Angela Rayner, they are equally culpable. This afternoon's PMs are the first time I have witness Starmer humiliating Johnson and I sense that he has eventually grasped the fact that it is the whole cadre of the Conservatives that are rotten and not just the leader.

It is a fascinating time in politics. The Liberals (remember them?) are threatening to look credible and Labour seems to be vacilating again as to whether they are a pro-European or anti-European party. I am not convinced that the Conservatives have a future in British politics and I sense that there is now an opportunity for the opposition parties to effectively kill them off. I really hope that Starmer plays the guilt by asscoiation card as the opportunity is now there to discredit anyone from the Conservative Party having not taken a moral ground against Johnson. Perhaps the only prominent figure from their recent past who can stand up with any integrity is Rory Stewart but if Labour , Liberals and SNP have any nous, they should be questioning the integrity of any Conservative candidate from the lowest, local level and ensuring that people do not forget these people knew what Boris would be like yet still elected them. There is a genuine opportunity to wipe the Tories off the political map.
