One of my fave shows. Are all the episodes available or just 1 per week? May wait to binge it in 3 or 4 days!
There's seven episodes of S3 out, with the last one out on Fridsy, so perfect timing. I stsrted on Friday, just Ep7 and the finale to go - this season there's a lot more blood and guts, and they've really pushed the boundaries in some of the sex scenes (not gonna spoil anything, but there's a party called Herogasm for the supes.....) Did you catch S3 of Umbrella Academy yet? Really enjoyed that, smashed that over two days! The soundtrack was amazing
Excellent!! Means I can watch 'em all together (if I get the time that is). Not seen any of Umbrella Academy. With a little 4-year old around I only really get a couple of hours a few times a week in the evenings to watch stuff so I have to be quite selective. Wanna watch The Boys, Obi Wan Kenobi and Only Murders In The Building so that'll be me set for a while. Oh, and I also want to start watching Stranger Things as it's been recommended a lot. Have you watched it? A fan?
Anyone been to one of these BST concerts in Hyde Park? I’m due to go on Sunday for Duran Duran (ok, the wife and the friends we are going with like them, I’m more interested in the support - Nile Rodgers and Chic). Can’t say I’m overly looking forward to it, looks like a very hot day to be in a big crowd being fleeced for drinks and nosh. Not a festival type event fan at the best of times. Give me a 1000 capacity hall and an unknown band at the beginning of their career any day. Reassure me.
I'm going to TRNSMT on Saturday at Glasgow Green - Chic/Nile Rogers playing Friday night when Mrs Steels is going. Top tip - get ****faced before you go in, no need to buy expensive, watered down drink. Or wear baggy clothes and try to smuggle a couple of bottles in with you. I'll be employing a mixture of both on Saturday
You ready for this.....price list for drinks and food at TRNSMT... Probably about normal prices for you lot down there!
Christ almighty. Just had a message from BST to bring a hat, sun block and a refillable water bottle. What larks. They are too shy to publish their prices but factoring in London, I’m getting a new mortgage.
I don't find these prices too shocking, sadly. The very ordinary pub we drink in in Marylebone sells Guinness at £6.20 a pint.
On my way.... Enjoy tonight, Mrs said Nile Rogers was great, although Paolo Nutini definately stole the show. Hoping to get in early enough to catch Wet Leg this afternoon, before the big guns hit the main stage tonight - Foals and The Strokes. Got a nice hip flask full of port for later on too
Bastards changed the set time to earlier....Fontaines DC just starting. Seen them twice before, and have tix for later in the year... new album is great....sunny as **** here, which makes a change for Glasgow! Will catch Pip Blom and Self Esteem later though
It’s tomorrow. We are on the lash in Kew and Richmond tonight. Beautiful evening. Pissed off because the Pixies were on last night.
Enjoy Steelsy. Foals and Strokes should be terrific. Easy on the Port there . Shame if you missed out on Wet Leg though. Plenty more to enjoy.
On the train home.....just! Fontaines DC, Foals, The Strokes, Pip Blom, Maximo Park and a little bit of Self Esteem - not a bad days gigging. Now crushed like a sardine on train with hundreds of drunk weedgies! Fab, gotta love the last train out of central on a Saturday night
BST Hyde Park (ongoing). Nile Rodgers, outstanding, he could make the national anthem funky, 90 minutes of solid hits with a great band. 60,000 people dancing. Duran Duran (on now) really can’t compare, even when he joined them for a couple of songs. But Simon le Bon’s voice is actually better than I remember and they are giving a good show. Prices similar to the Glasgow version. Not really my type of thing but a good day out, roasting when we arrived, comfortable now. Remarkable that of the four remaining members of Duran Duran none have lost a single hair from their heads and there is not a hint of grey….. …also I don’t think my presence has raised the average age of the audience significantly.
