This seems to have already muddied the waters. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/new-transfer-rule-puts-cardiff-24313710
Think I've got my head around it and from what I can see it'll have more impact on sending players out on loan than bringing others in. Still quite limiting in both directions though.
Unless our loans go to another welsh club they all fall into that category. Not that I imagine us having half a dozen out on loan. It might limit us getting players in from the likes of Man City or Liverpool who could be loaning out all over the globe. Either way, I see issues being more the exception than the rule.
Revise that. May be an issue. Just looked, man city had 29 players out on loan last year. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....hester-city-loanees-202122-porro-21437741.amp
Not looking hopeful for Levitt and Doyle loans. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...kCopy&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar
Nobody really thought Doyle was coming back and as for Levitt he’s probably found his level in Scotland
The Leeds guys don't rate him at all, but could he do a job for us?......... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...s-monitoring-Leeds-forward-Tyler-Roberts.html
From what I can see he promised a lot earlier but has gone off the boil. Could be because of loan spells all over the place. Didn't set the world on fire with Leeds but perhaps SM could get him fired up again. Not at all sure about him.
I heard a rumour on this 2 weeks ago. A good lad, lots of effort, pressing, covering back BUT and a big BUT, not a proven goal scorer at any level. Similar to Harris and Collins, not what we need. Maybe with a productive midfield he would score more but the same can be said about Watters. Has been injury prone over the years as well. I'm more inclined to look at a Div. 1 striker who hits the net regularly. Anyone think of any?
I've said it before, no really interested in a 20+ a season scorer. We've had them before and finished mid table. We've been promoted with a top scorer on 9. The swans had a 20+ scorer last year and finished not that far above us. No doubt we need our strikers to score more, but we can say the same for the rest of the team. A couple competent strikers with 10 to 15 goals in them would do me. As you allude to Blue, Watters might be one of them with the right service. That's be bit we've been missing for the last 5-10 years, a midfield to put the bullets in the chamber. As an aside, the last time I remember so much upheaval in a summer was when DJ came in. Worse than we are seeing now. Players even coming in a day or two before the season started. I'm hoping that with the bulk of business having been done early we have a settled squad before the Norwich game. A few more signings between now and then can blend in, but the core squad is settled and should see us off to a better start than DJ was able to give us. Just hoping Morison has his formation and game plan sorted so we have 4 weeks of getting the players up to speed. Would be nice to see one or two bits of quality arrive in the next week or so though. As I said a week or so back, concerned with words and actions from Morison, especially around youngsters, not aligning 100% but willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Whatever as far as I’m concerned he’s pants and now been told that his wages are outside our range so the other championship clubs allegedly interested are welcome to him.
I quite like him. Lot of variable info on him (wages etc), but if this is correct, he wouldn't be expensive............. https://www.capology.com/player/tyler-roberts-36172/profile/
