I’m 100% willing to give anyone left from Ashley’s regime a chance based on the fact they were never allowed to flourish previously. Secondly weren’t Staveley and PIF advised my Frank McParland? I’m sure he will have assessed any staff inherited and made a recommendation on who’s up to it or who isn’t
Scamacca is an overrated lump and much like Chris Wood he'd flop at Newcastle IMO(he can't even score a goal for Italy). We need a more dynamic forward like Rafael Leão who can play out wide when Wilson is fit and also do a job as the main striker when Wilson gets his usual injury problems.
I’d take Mbuemo from Brentford, young with bags of potential, plays out wide or up top and wouldn’t cost a bomb.
He's got 16 in 36 in Serie A and 0 in 88 minutes for Italy. Compared to 11 in 34 and 0 in 9 games for Portugal. Not sure we will be on best of terms with Milan at the minute either. Would deffo have Rafael Leão though, both would be class in the same team.
Don't get me wrong he is a decent player and i would have been happy enough to get him for where we are right now. But if we were in Man City's position i would be slightly underwhelmed. Depth and ticks the home grown box though i suppose..i doubt he will be a first team starter.
