I want to read of incoming players particularly strikers not a g-k coach and a fitness bloke.
Players are important, but coaches, physios, sports psychologists, et al can make a big difference to a team's fortunes.

Osian Roberts made a big contribution to Wales' fortunes, as did Shaun Edwards to the Welsh and now French rugby teams.

Happy to read about anyone who can make a difference to our league position.

The squad is so obviously missing strikers. Harris Collins & Watters is what we’ve got as it stands.
That’s a big concern. Where are the goals coming from to turn this bottom 6 looking squad into at least mid table?

Morison has said he’s going to use up his 5 loan options. If Ralls doesn’t sign (am not bothered if he doesn’t) then assumedly he’ll pick up some midfielders and strikers with Collins at least going out.

All part of building the fabric of the club Nin.

I’m not decrying the appointments which are of course essential in the modern game but was only suggesting reading about incoming players is more interesting!

Incidentally if City are to enhance their coaching staff they should invest in a throw in specialist. Last season the number of times we lost possession from our own short throw in’s was unacceptable.

In many ways these appointments are potentially more important to the long term ethos of the club than relatively short term signings. I have to say I find it fascinating to read about how we're recruiting across the board in order to implement a culture change.

Its where managers end up playing chicken.
A big risk leaving key signings until the last knockings.
So far only O'Dowda looks a starting signing.
Another 5 or 6 needed.
The others will be squad players.
Like others, hoping Morison gets it right.
Would still like to see a few older heads signed in the spine of the team, striker, CM, CB.
Hoping that Ralls signs on the dotted line.
Glenn been reading my posts?

Cardiff identify priority positions needed next
Cardiff are keen on strengthening the spine of their squad further and have identified centre-back, central midfield and striker as the three positions they would like to add to next, WalesOnline has learned.

Centre back???
They’ve got McGuinness Denham Nelson Ng and possibly Connelly & maybe Sean Morrison later on in the season.

Central midfield and striker definitely.

Well it is the crazy time of year I guess. So many rumours and so many opinions and lots of demands and expectation.
We're a club at the very start of a difficult transition and not very rich. Not exactly a magnet for the creative playmakers that are in such demand by just about every club. Our immediate future lies within a team ethic and having a style that focuses on the whole and not individual brilliance.
Of course, Gareth Bale arriving would be a huge boost as he would provide both the individual flare and promote the team dynamic. But that would be the exception.
And on the subject of Bale, I think we need to show a bit more respect to the man that's helped give an entire nation a chance to regain its footballing pride. He definitely deserves the time and space to sort out the future for not just him but his family. He's one of the good guys in the modern game and I'm sure his decision will have nothing to do with money. It's worth remembering that his family will need to acclimatise to what could be a major change in their lives. In his position, I wouldn't be rushed either.
Just my opinion.

Away from musical philosophy, another twist with Ramsey.
Turkey is a bit far from your home, physios and coaching badges though Aaron.

If he likes kebabs that much there's always Caroline Street. <whistle> I'm sure we can chip in for a few for him.

I guess he is being offered good money there of which his agent will take a cut - more than anything we can offer - and the weather is generally better there.

Pirlo was a player that I admired but can he offer the same delights that are so plentiful in Aaron's very own Caerphilly? And if it's a food thing, there are a number of Turkish restaurants in Cardiff. So come home Aaron and be part of something special.

We posted at exactly the same time but both picked up on the food thing.
Another example of great minds on this board

A "special" kebab maybe?
