We've got plenty in midfield; Fabinho, Hendo, Thiago, Keita, Milner, Jones, Elliott and Calvalho, plus any youngsters. I reckon Gomez could do a very good job at DM too
What about the many weeks when we'll have 2 or 3 of those out injured? Amd we will have those weeks imo. Wonder why the club didn't think a 25m punt on bissouma wasn't worth a cheeky bid. Perhaps his off field troubles that need settling? 25m and that was fab covered. Ffs
The whole point of having a squad is to cover injuries and suspensions. Eight players for three positions should be plenty (didn't include Ox either, think he'll be off)
I agree but the drop off in quality when our main 3 are out is what worries me, Jones Milner Elliott. Its a bit weak imo I just hope we bring in a midfielder before the window closes tbh.
Basically, need someone that can cover for Fabinho but also play alongside him that's robust, not injury prone and cheap. Not asking for much is it....
I also think this is true, I hope so anyway. Well if we don't get anyone in the middle as biscan said before it's all about Jones elliot and Carvalho stepping up this season. The good thing about this young Ramsey deal is that hopefully we now have a Like for like replacement for Trent, in much the same way we have a like for like in kostas and robbo, little things like that can make all the difference because as good as Gomez is he's no right back, not a good attacking one anyway, an excellent cb but rb ain't his natural role so I'm glad with what I've seen and heard about this Calvin Ramsey kid. 9 assists and 1 goal in 33 games I think last season. Deffo got the tools we need
Its possible Yeh. Unsure about how well he'd do in midfield myself, I know he played most of his youth football there but I've not seen any of it myself. No doubt his right foot could become and entirely different weapon from that position too.
Exactly. My thinking is that even if he's not ultimately charged for what happened, it may reflect a personality that Klopp doesn't want around. It's not just about talent and ability with Klopp.
Imo there's a lot of things that go into lfc signing policy Science. Ethics Talent. This is why the likes of dembele and bissouma are never signing. Bissouma is injured half the time. Never mind the sexual assault allegations! Fundamentally he's still not been charged but it is an issue but so is the injiries
My guess is the charges will be dropped as i would expect Spurs have been given good reason to expect exactly that before splashing £25m
They don't press like crazy any more though, haven't done for a while. Plus, I think Trent could do that anyway. Im not saying Trent should go RCM or that i think it will happen, just an option if we end up short...
