    ... what's the crack.

I've never paid them much heed and just thought they were a harmless bunch of Sunderland fans keen enough to indulge themselves.

But they seem to want to actually be the news rather than reporting it which is becoming increasingly annoying. They never seem to miss the chance for a dig at the club and the click-bait is way too obvious.

Does anyone know these lads, are they just getting carried away ... are they Mags <laugh>

They keep popping up when I hit 'new tab', this is today's effort. They're nominating people for 'season awards' or summat.

    Malc Dugdale says... Lee Johnson!

"I know he isn’t at the club anymore, and I am not sure whether we would have been promoted if we didn’t let him go post-Bolton, but he bought the players and set out his plan that others have benefitted from, and we have to recognise that."

Ah right, well that's me telt <doh>

Remember having an exchange with one of them on here, or pre 2019 on RTG, where I accused them of being skunks due to their repetitive negativity...

He had his fans, and still has, to a limited extent, he could certainly talk the talk, if you will forgive the cliche.

I usually enjoy their podcasts but they put far too much content out now. Articles just for the sake of it imo.

Those comments seem to ignore the fact that Neil tore up Johnson's plan and that's why we benefitted ...

... I never like leaving a match early but I was out of Bolton at 4-0, it was shameful.

We lasted until 5. The 6th went in when we were back on the bus, absolutely shocking stuff that day.

I dont want to do the whole LJ thing again, but I cant help myself. I have said before I doubt we would have got promoted under him and that Neil is a level above.

However, I do think he contributed to our move back to the championship and he deserves some credit in my opinion. He turned us round from Parkinson. He wanted Stewart and Winchester (we didnt have the recruitment setup then). He was the driving force that brought in Pritchard and Baath. He gave us a very young side with local lads like Embleton and Neil shining. In the calendar year 2021 no other English club got more points, or scored more goals than Sunderland. He wasnt perfect by any means, but that is why he came to league 1, but in my opinion he helped set the foundations that got us moving forward again.

The lad I met there had a call from his lass.

"Are you back to the car yet."

"I'm just coming past Rochdale, get me tea on." <laugh>

Christ, you lot love a moan at other fans don't you...They aren't doing any harm and you'll end up getting half the transfer scoops from them again in summer. Stick together.

I am in the same boat. When I listen to them I often enjoy it. They do seem to have become more than fans now though, and maybe that is the way of the world. Not sure it is massively helpful myself, but the genie is well and truly out of the bottle with internet content.

That's nonsense, it's a very rare occasion when that happens on here.

This isn't criticising the fans, it's regarding an outfit that actually does regularly criticise the fans, the club, the owner ...

... if they're putting themselves in such a position they should expect people to voice their opinions on what they publish.

Or are we just supposed to sit there, like naughty schoolchildren, and accept everything they say.

BTW, you're actually having a moan at people yourself, as you did in your previous post. Are we only sticking together if we agree with you?

You have entire threads set up by yourself to moan at RTG and Roker Report. You've had form in the past for moaning about RAWA too. Seems like you're only happy when people are marching to the beat of your drum. You do realise someone else giving an opinion in an article does not mean they are telling you what to think? This Ricky Gervais bit reminds me of you:

Cheer up a bit is all I'm saying :)

They think they are reporters, encouraged by the way the two chancers befriended them.

They are just a fan site, nowhere near as good as some because of their needy desire to "break a story".

A shame, as it started out okay, but you would think they would have learned by now to stick to the basics of being a fan site after the ridiculous Dell shirts and the assumptions in the story on John Reece.

Not somewhere I venture any longer.

There's an RTG thread to avoid various threads being affected as happens on RTG and their endless comments about this forum and the posters.

This is a typical post, on the takeover thread, from Friday.

    "No take over
    No dodgy currency yet
    Will story is back
A few have left for 606
Smb vs 606 5vs5 brawl will be happening soon
    No one knars nowt.
Roker report and Tom white are to blame."

I've posted this one because RR are, in the eyes of some people on both forums, become increasingly detached from the supporters and post endless negativity. That's a reasonable reason to post a thread topic on a chat forum, people are entitled to disagree and they will. You'll notice, I hope, that people on here can disagree without getting personal as you seem inclined to do.

Are you criticising people on RTG, for saying exactly the same thing, or have you just come on here to have a moan at me. You seem to want everyone to march to the beat of your drum with your 'stick together and believe what I believe' posts. Or doesn't your rule apply to you.

Who do you post as on RTG btw.

Sometimes and it happens fairly often not just in football where people reach a point where they take something to a point where they can’t take it any further or to the next level . Sometimes they realise it themselves or their bosses do which I think happened at SAFC and the change was made . The change seemed to drag on a bit but the outcome with Alex Neil taking over was a spectacular success , he made changes and everything fell in to place . It would be wrong to ignore what Lee Johnson contributed but the turnaround by Alex Neil has to be applauded.

That's the fella, how time flies... I remember the exchange and he was positive they had the best interests of the club at heart, so I left it at that.

100% agree mate. Alex Neil did brilliantly bearing in mind our form when he arrived. He made tactical changes that Johnson wouldnt make and they worked wonders. I also suspect he made things simpler for players like Bailey Wright and Cory Evans and they benefited. Neil has more flexibility than Johnson and that marks him out as a better coach.
