You've set me thinking here, always dangerous, but I remember the football echo being green for a period following another relegation it then returned to being pink when we were promoted.
When I was 16 years old I worked at the Echo (the old office right on the Wear next to the bridge) I was the office boy and as soon as the game finished on Saturdays I had to pack up hundreds of Football echo's for people all over the world and even those in prison, I didn't get finished till after 8pm....Labor of love tho' happy days.

You are right Snaggey, I would never buy the Pink, always had to be the Football Echo for me
Yeah the Football Echo was pink, but the Football Pink was the mag version so not confusing in the slightest
