Have to be honest. I voted Labour last time because where I live there is a very poor Tory MP (one who’s turned on Johnson to be fair to him) and only Labour would go close to unseating him. I also thought much of their manifesto was good enough. I probably preferred the Green manifesto and also could have voted Lib Dem based on policy. I wasn’t a fan of Corbyn and his clique. I think his little ideological clique weren’t the best people to lead the party. That put people off. I may have voted Green in another situation. Starmer seems more credible and business like and that should win a few back. What wasn’t right in my view was that people voted for another clique. Generally an elitist discriminatory clique who were also ideological. They are vile and anyone in a working class community thinking they care are throughly deluded. They care about power and wealth alone.

i don't even think this is the reason any more, greed is ruining the planet and i think more and more are becoming aware of that (deforestation, cheap plastics etc etc) but those in charge have more than enough money, they can never ever spend it.

i now firmly believe this is all about complete control, little by little they have altered 'acts of parliament' to strip away the rights of the people. nothing major just a little change here and a little change there and most are quite happy to let them get on with their jobs as long as they still get their 2 holidays abroad and the next mobile upgrade while they feel happy contributing to a better world by buying an electric car (ignoring the mining and exploitation and waste needed to make the batteries) and pretty soon will be just as much at home letting that vehicle take control and do all the driving for them while that latest mobile phone upgrade keeps track of everything you do and every penny you make (cashless society is coming for a reason) and every single purchase you make and no more making a few quid doing a weekend job or trying to fiddle your taxes.

boris is just the latest and most blatant liar we have had at number 10, go back to the 70's i would say to find the last labour party to carry any sort of clout but they too grew into the idea that they have jobs for life, just change your leader and enjoy a few years on the gravy train cos lets face it, even coming 2nd means 5 years of good pay, benefits and expenses...actually, the 70's was probably the last decade when we all had weekly pay packets and the 'if you cannot afford it, do without' attitude, now they just want everyone to have debt.

I’ve said this before, why would you want to win a election, much better to rake in a fortune being total nobody’s who can say what they want and pray they don’t win the next election, Cushty!

Have an ignore. This thread is nothing to do with the Labour Party or it's election performances, it is about the liar, the hypocrite and the incompetent buffoon that is Alexander Boris De Pfeffel Johnson. Who, as far as I am aware has never been affiliated to the Labour Party. Goodbye.

Echo chamber under threat there.

Johnson is a narcissist.

Most of the cabinet are not skilled enough to rake in a fortune, except by getting back-handers from, e.g. PPE contracts, piecemeal privatisation of NHS, fossil fuel industry

back to imperial?

it's a no thanks from me, even if i am an old dinosaur...at the time i obviously never wanted to go metric as imperial was all we had known, these days the vast majority were brought up with decimal and most struggle working in 10's so how the feck will they manage with imperial??

It's absolute insanity.

Brexit was supposed to mean we could negotiate deals with European countries and those around the world.

This is all making us look like we want to go back to Colonial days, the British Empire and sugar plantations.

The PM is taking this Churchill obsession to uncomfortable extremes now.
