Winks does have a PL future I think. Surely he would be a good fit for a club like Forest?

At the least as HG "ballast" (which of course Spurs will
be balancing like for like with all these exciting new
signings every one has down for this summer ... ) .

Spence and Johnson link up well down the right. They caused a lot of problems for defences in the Championship.

I know it has been Johnson's breakthrough season but he is very talented. I have seen him several times for Wales and he has always impressed.

Purchase and loan back to Forest could work. Another year's experience and return to Spurs Prem battle hardened.

Oh please, no more buy and loan back agreements! I don’t recall any successes with this arrangement.
If you look at the young players we have brought in over the years, typically they have come in and taken a chance due to injury. Lennon was suppose to be an understudy for Routledge, he got his chance and took it. Same with Dele, he only got an opportunity due to injuries. I think if we sign a player like Johnson don't loan him back give him game time. We don't want to be left with another Jack Clarke

6.00 news headline if a slow news day. <whistle>

Please excuse my ignorance but signing a 33 year old winger? Surely his flying down the wing days are behind him?

We've had a lot of fast wingers in the past but none who could put in a decent ball ,hopefully age and experience count more than running up blind allys, hitting the first man in defence , how many times this season alone has Reggie and Sess arrived in the box to fluff their lines ,
I hope Perisic proves to be an improvement and can be a teacher to Sess

Some decent deliveries in this:

Looks a real threat on corners too, which I wasn't expecting.
