The journalist Simon Hughes tweeted that its taken him 2 and a half hours to get from underpass where security checks carried out to actually get in stadium..... not exactly late arrivals...

He takes money out of a game which he has said he didn’t actually like, he screwed Newcastle and their fans for years, no wonder he begged not to have to pundit for Amazon up there last year because he ‘feared for his safety’. His net input tonight is to claim Liverpool are the greatest team ever. Horrible little man, should stick to horse racing.

At least Gerrard is attempting some analysis. Obviously the extended chat time doesn’t suit them, they didn’t have discussion points prepared.

**** organisation again, apparently it’s been gridlocked for hours. I wonder if some of the many fans who don’t have tickets are outside the stadium.

Mmm, ok.
Can't get that worked up about Owen to be honest.
He's not the best pundit for sure, but then neither is Rio Ferdinand.
I agree Jake Humphries is a knob.

It was a tough gig having to fill all that extra time.
All three ex players there give invaluable insights imo.

Rumours circulating that it was mainly Liverpool fans trying to get in without tickets. This lead, apparently, to some potential crushing!

I was thinking the Stade de France has sell out games of all sorts multiple times a year, with no reported trouble. What’s different tonight….?
