To clarify something. Lille finished 10th in Ligue 1 but we're rumoured to be hankering after a CB and forward of theirs? I hope they're better than I worry they may be. Carlos is much older but undoubtedly proven at a higher lvl.
I have no idea what David is like as a forward. I do know that Botman would make Lascelles look like Usain Bolt in his prime.
If someone can correct me feel free to jump in but from what I can gather Lille and numerous other French and Italian clubs have got some very very murky transfers under investigation. For example Oshimen to Napoli - reported as £70m. When looking at it deeper £20m of this was made up of 4 young players not worth a reported combined £350k but reported as being worth £20m towards the deal. With something like £30m ever exchanging hands or being banked by Lille suggesting there is either a fudging of FFP and or somebody somewhere has their hands in the cookie jar.
