Funny that Reading want to keep Laurent and have offered him a new contract (not accepted yet), but let Swift walk.
Interesting what our manager is up to and how he can sell his vision to such parties. Can't help thinking he puts previous managers in the shade a bit. Bit like plug at forest and the other bloke at Brighton...aha Potter!!!
Not sure that the fact that he represents the player is enough to prove that what he's saying is "bilge". Yes of course he's going to talk positively about his stable and yes he's an agent, but it still doesn't make everything he says "bilge" does it?
Definitely. On £25k a week at Ashtip and they would want a fee for the last 12 months of his contract. Not worth either of those. Move on and focus on Laurent and Swift plus a striker who actually scores goals.
Agreed but is hardly impartial due to his vested interest. Although we will be very pleased if he is correct.
Close but no cigar. Swallows in and out one of our stables for the last 3 weeks. One nearly took my head off today when I walked past as it exited.
Poetic licence. Or clingo speaks with fork tail. Due to climate change, growing numbers of Swift's, swallows and martens are no longer migrating for the winter.
I'll give you that. It has been noticable over the last few years. They seemed late this year and havent turned up in numbers. We usually have quite a few swooping over our fields from late April to early May. Was the backend of that before I spotted any. My local trout water usually has a lot of them feeding on hatching insects and drinking. Hardly seen one this year. Things are not well with the natural cycle. Fingers crossed that we will see Bluebirds soaring high next year.
Don't want to take this thread too far off topic but perhaps I can be forgiven while it's quiet. Fascinating to read what you've written and not dissimilar to other reports I've read. Strangely, the further south you get in the UK so the picture changes. In Gloucester, the spring migrants arrive earlier each year and now it can be possible to see Swallows all year round. Global weirding!
In some dark, quiet car parks around here I'm told a lot of swallowing and some spitting happens most nights. Apologies for the Masky turn.
