It appears the PM believes any gathering with booze involving workmates, in a place they worked, was exempt from his lockdown rules.

No actual work was required, the mere fact that various people were employed in various departments was the only criteria.

So basically anyone could've had a piss up at work providing they pretended it wasn't a piss up.

Staggering how a grown man can spout such nonsense then expect people to shrug and think 'Yes he has a good point' <doh>
Being drunk at work, or even just tipsy, in any other "work environment" would result in instant dismissal even in non lockdown times. Absolutely no excuse on so many levels but to then lie about it and deny it happened takes it to a whole new level indeed.

I wonder if the opposition partys want Bonko to remain?

By the time the next general election comes around, the review of all Bonko's mistakes and missteps during Covid19 and partygate will still be rumbling on. Then of course with probably with a couple of years to go Bonko being Bonko there will be other balls ups.

The woman who was freed finally by the Iranians, blames Bonko for the extra years she had there cos' when he was Foreign Secretary saying she was probably a spy. He just cannot help himself!

He's just not very good at being Prime Minister, it's not the right job for him tbh.

I'm sure we've all blagged our way into jobs we realised were too much for us. We either start looking for a way out or learn quickly.

Johnson doesn't want to learn, he really believes his own personality transcends everything.

Other people believed that as well but I doubt they still do now.

Don’t know why you’ve put “ here “ mate, I don’t think anybody anywhere does. Who would be mad enough to replace him at the moment though is another question.
I’m curious who supposed 2/5 of the electorate are who want him to stay, other than the Tory cabinet members who don’t want his job

I really want the Tories out obviously but for the sake of vulnerable people I’d rather have a less incompetent PM and cabinet so people don’t starve to death. The thing that annoyed me above his partygate comments yesterday was him commenting on the cost of living. He said something to the effect of ‘we can’t help everyone but we’ll be ok’. Some people aren’t now, they will end up worse, the hospitals are in a mess, health services and social care are maxed out, he will be ok, his cabinet will be ok. Many other people off his radar will die or be exploited.

Im not bothered who's in power as long as they care about everyone and take it seriously ...

... Johnson is just a joker who has little beyond the image.

He's as fake as they come.

To be fair I knew Rooch’ opinion on Boris and the windfall tax issue. Exile seems to like alm things Tory and Rog just rants on about conspiracy theories and Somalians who he definitely isn’t racist about despite stating that they’re all murderers

Amazing what people are willing to tell themselves in order to feel morally superior.
