Is this possibly the worst news about Salah. Could mean he goes on a free at the end of next season if we don't sell him this summer. Another bargaining ploy?
So Juventus signed Paul Pogba on a free transfer then sold him to Manchester United for £89m. 5 years later resign him on a free again
Guess it depends what could get for him this year. Don’t really want to offer him out to clubs and piss him off. If we only get offers of 40m the n makes sense to keep him even if potentially lose him for free. However if someone is offering £90m now then diff question and can reinvest that in 2 very good players.
If salah is actually already "slowing" in accordance to our sports science teams then we might be very happy indeed ro have another 30 goal season out of him and then say **** off now thanks. It could be the case that lfc don't think like we do of the big fee and and quite comfortable to say **** you mane and **** you salah and move on cos they have the data in their back.pocket that supports this. However they also gave henderson a massive long deal when everyone can see he has lost the ability to go 90mins twice a week.
The sheer joy this particular team has given us over the past few years makes me very reluctant to see it broken up. If you could freeze a team in time and watch only those players for next *however many years* this would be the team ..... and the manager. Imagine our next game against Everton and no Origi waiting to come on.
It has to break up sometime, can't let them all get old together. The introductions of Jota, Konaté, and Diaz suggest we can maintain continuity with a careful recruitment strategy.
All our front three are getting a bit jaded, out of the three I can only see Mo at least holding the same level of performance in the near future, that's why I'd like us to give him new contract.Always thought Mane was under appreciated but he comes across at times as if he's not bothered, whereas Mo always seems to be pissed off if something doesn't come right.Personally think Bobby is done, link up play nowhere nears his best and passes go astray too often, he's a luxury we can't afford to carry. We need now to plan for the next 3/5 years.
Bobby just come back from king injury so think was just rusty. I think out of the 3 he should in theory be able to carry on longest as doesn’t have pace and power. Should be able to play that link up role more. Mane has really developed in that number 9 role end of this season and if he was to leave, I think he’d need something up top, maybe something a bit different. Jota can’t argue with his record but still but hit and miss and when he is miss, doesn’t offer loads. Maybe he’ll improve that side of his game though
On a personal level, I haven't made that 'spiritual' connection yet with any of those you mention, like I have with our current lot. As Shankly once said "I was made for Liverpool and Liverpool was made for me". That's how I feel about our current starting XI, the newbies aren't quite there yet although I will say Diaz is on fast track

Sport is a cold and ruthless business at times. The player who would gives us the most fee is Salah, then Mane and we’d get an ok wedge for Bobby. Mane, going oh his quote is not exactly showing positive vibes towards staying Salah just saying I’ll be here next year at least isn’t exactly positive either. Bobby has a max of 2 years left. He’s simply slowing down
More to our team than just names though. Squad morale, harmony, good professionals, teaching the youngsters. moving on 3 leaders of the team in one go, with Milner potentially also going leaves a lot of missing experience in that squad, not only in playing ability but off the field too
