Yeah, I believe it may have been part of the initial deal with him. Obligation to sign if promoted.
Are we assuming Wright, Gooch and Roberts will sign? I certainly hope so. Solid base to the squad and a few quality additions to the squad should see us comfortably mid-table
Shame to see mcgeady go but it all honesty its probably the right decision.
I think last season would have been the right time. He looked every one of this 36 years this season
Would have loved to see a 5min cameo at Wembley to see him off but nevermind. I've enjoyed watching him and he seemed to love it as well. All the best Geads.
Good luck McGeady, a true professional in every sense. 
McGeady was quality for us. Like others have said, a bright spark in a dark patch for the club. Will be fondly remembered and welcomed back anytime
Plus to be out injured as long as he has don't know what condition he would be in once he returned. Like i say i think its the right decision just a shame hes leaving after being such a player for us in league 1

Agreed. Maybe if Roberts had put that 3rd one away then Geeds would have come on for Stewart instead of Broadhead (unless he was already on the pitch - my memory of Sat is foggy at best)
It was interesting Broadhead pulled out of the Wales squad injured early after being called up, I wonder if we knew he wasn't 100% but put him on because of his reputation and they would be worried about him.
He hasn't looked 100% fit since the Arsenal game at Xmas. We 100% rushed him back for the play offs. He was blowing out his arse after one sprint v Sheff Wed. Think you are right re mind games/reputation
The only thing that would make me nervous re signing Broadhead is his hamstrings. 3 or 4 hamstring injuries in a single season
