I bet Luke O'Nien is smiling at that news.VAR would be like a crucifix and cloves of garlic to Wycombe ...
... it would completely thrown their game plan out.

premier league games are on sunday so maybe a ref that be a 4th official on sundayTerrible decision for me. How can you not use it all season then bring it in for 1 game. I really hope the officials are all premier league ones who are used to it but as there is a full premier league card the day after it will be slim pickings.
at least VAR ref has used it beforeJust announced:
Referee: Simon Hooper
Assistant Referees: Adam Crysell and Craig Taylor
Fourth Official: Tim Robinson
Reserve Assistant Referee: Greg Read
VAR: Lee Mason
AVAR: Matthew Wilkes

I thought that, if it was a game that “mattered” to them, the decisions they made in not giving the pen would’ve taken a lot longer. Just felt like it was completely irrelevant to them so they won’t take more than one look. Had it been Liverpool or Spurs or City, they’d likely have taken minutes rather than second (or no time at all)You were right on both counts, got everything right pretty much and let the game flow. I'd guess it was a decent watch for neutrals despite the lack of real drama.
Thought it was a blatant pen on Roberts mind but that was Lee Mason's call I believe.

The offside call was the first one which was correct, the second one where 2 ww players came either side of him was a definite instead we got a cornerCan't remember it being used in anger, the penalty shout on Roberts perhaps but that had already been called for offside.
Wonder if it affected WW approach to things, we'll probably never know.
I didn't think it was, just the premier leagueIs var in use in the championship normal league season next year?
I wasn't sure with all the playoff announcements wether I'd missed something about it being used in championship. I can't see anything confirmed but I just wonder why they would bring it in for the finals.I didn't think it was, just the premier league
To showcase how amazing it is and prepare everyone for it coming in in the league?I wasn't sure with all the playoff announcements wether I'd missed something about it being used in championship. I can't see anything confirmed but I just wonder why they would bring it in for the finals.![]()

Kevin Friend was never been friendly for us.seen this earlier... is lee mason not one of our 'mates' from our premier years?
rather like kevin friend, one or two decisions went our way but in the main they never seemed to want to give us anything...my memory may be cloudy on this mind.
