I wasn't denying the penalty as he fully deserved it. The threads called broken Lewis so I was just adding my 2 cents.
I posted this maybe about 1 day too late as I am not talking about the yellow flag incident. Just out of interest, when double yellow flags are waved shouldn't the DRS automatically be turned off?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/formula_one/15507094.stm Too late for 2011, but 2012 will see if all his 'distractions' were causing him to lose focus.
He said something similar last year: http://en.espnf1.com/mclaren/motorsport/story/37134.html What are these 'distractions' anyway?
He not the first and certainly wont be the last driver to suffer a performance drop due to influences from outside the sport. If he can put it behind him, he may come back stronger than ever. Only time will tell I guess.
A lot of tough times for many drivers on the grid, it's like we are watching them live their lives every weekend, the sport we watch is 24 drivers going to work.. Just like us lot, they have ups and downs just like us... therefore we feel closer to them than newsreaders or people that don't understand the sport much.
So he's concentrating on his driving, in the middle of a corner when suddenly he starts thinking about his ex-girlfriend dumping him?
People forget they are human... They're not robots. They have emotions, feelings and like most other humans, make mistakes and errors of judgement. I'm glad that I don't face such heavy criticism when I **** up.
it seems like hamilton has allways got an excuse for everything forza , you certainly would"nt want him in the trenches with you if it all it takes is his little plastic dolly outing him to turn him into a dribbling wreck - ---- what was his excuse before she gave hin his P45 personally i think its all b***ocks , red bull and mclaren have been the class of the field all season , vettel has upped his game and hamilton has not been good enough --
First of all SgtBhaji I adore Hamilton's driving and pace and in Korea he showed he could battle wheel to wheel without crashing or bumping. He's on the right track. No doubt Button was poor today but he's been much better than Lewis and more consistent. Lewis is doing nothing wrong at the moment so I have no concerns or complaints to make. And Forza I have no idea whether he thinks that when he's driving he needs to improve mentally over the winter if your point is the case.
whats button got to do with anything -- he"s been doing what he is supposed to do with a competitive car ---- hence why he is 2nd in the table --
Button has a lot to do with it. If he's driving a car that's the "class of the field" as you claim, how come he didn't take the fight to Vettel? That would suggest that both McLaren drivers failed to make the most of their machinery. (Or maybe the car wasn't as good as the RB.)
I think Button has done a superb job... I think some people overstate the mp4-27 and claim it could have gone toe to toe with the RB and team Vettel. It had it's moments, but it's not been on par.
why are you bringing button into anything , unlike his team mate button is not the one that has been dropping the ball all season --- -------- hence why he is vettels closest challenger and that includes beating vettels team mate who drives an identical RB7 --
Both Mclaren drivers have had bad races, and a bit of bad luck, thats why they are so far behind. They could have been in the hunt still if they are consistant, but Vettel has been dominant, and made his car look better than what it is. Look at what Webber has done in that. Nothing.
