Let this be a lesson to you all. Don't point out the obvious favouritism that Liverpool and Man Utd get. If you do, then you'll have to read a load of **** for ages.
It's not favouritism mate, it's just decisions all you refs don't agree with. Other lower table supporters think the same of your team
No, it's favouritism. Refs like Clattenburg have admitted it. I'm not sure why you continue to deny it. Man Utd fans and fans of other clubs that are lower in the table than Spurs?
Good, Harry Kane has missed over 50 shots this season, does that mean he has scored 76 goals? Because that was the intent.
So you admit he missed well that's a start! There is nothing in the laws of the game about intention to commit a foul. You could argue that Son was careless and this is covered by the laws Careless is when a player shows a lack of attention or consideration when making a challenge or acts without precaution. No disciplinary sanction is needed But you won't want to read that! Intent is often talked about by commentators and pundits who also don't know the laws!
We're not all refs (well I am actually), not sure about anyone else here. and just to say that there are plenty of fans across all the leagues who think that Liverpool and United get favourable treatment from both refs and in the media we are not alone in that regard. And we also know that other fans dislike us buts thats just the nature of football fans and the reality of the social media led world we live in.
Current thoughts on likelihood of top four based on certain outcomes tonight? My percentages: If we win tonight, I'm 95% confident of top 4 even if Everton still aren't safe If we draw tonight, I'm 4.99% confident of top 4 (Norwich might hold you to a draw as a last premier league hurrah but I really can't see anything other than an absolute Spurs smashing, especially if you know winning gets you top 4) If we lose tonight, I'm 0.01% confident of top 4 (Norwich are never going to beat you) Essentially, whatever happens tonight, in my opinion, top 4 will be near enough decided. It's rumbled on for so long it's bizarre that it's now only hours away from being almost finalised.
Agree. Our hopes rest almost entirely on Newcastle and I don't see what they have to play for - unless it is a place in the squad next year. Many will be moved on - hopefully that conversation hasn't yet happened.
They've had nothing to play for quite a while now but keep being hard to beat at home. Plus it's possible we don't have a single available centre-half in which case it might be Tomiyasu and Xhaka at centre-back.
In the last 5 games : the Toon have lost their last two, you lot have won four. The Toon are playing are their last game of the season, and given the passionate nature of their support, they will be expected to give you a match. If Spurs are not behind on pts come the last game, I expect them at the least to match your result. You even tried Lasagna-gate 2 : electric boogaloo a week too soon (perhaps Nemesis gave Spurs that penalty in response) .
It's time for me to forgive a relegated Newcastle (who had nothing but pride to play for ), for me wasting a whole day and expenses on a Sunday in May in 2016.
I don’t like relying on other clubs so I never really do so. My way of looking at things is everything is more or less in our own hands and we let 4th go during the Brighton and Brentford games so only have ourselves to blame. I’m still more than happy with 5th this season though, after hiring and then firing Nuno, it felt like we were nailed on for midtable so guaranteeing 5th with 3 or 4 games remaining was great. Slightly sour we lose out on 4th to Arsenal but it doesn’t overly bother me, especially as I have a lot of renewed optimism for the first time in about 3 years. I think tonight Toon will wanna put in a decent final home performance and will probably score but I think Arsenal still win by 1 or 2. 2-1/ 3-1 scoreline, think I predicted the former on your thread as it goes.
I think Arsenal have won thirteen out of their eighteen games against teams in the bottom half. If that is indicative of their form then they have slightly above a 50% chance of winning both. So more than a 50% chance of finishing above us as we have some chance of losing at Norwich. I think whether Everton have anything to play for is irrelevant....can easily work both ways as they could play without fear if they are safe.
Arsenal face the biggest wor flags display ever plus the return of Wilson and Trippier. Are you going to question your morals wanting newcastle to win though?
