Klopp is also the only manager in England to win 6 different trophies with the same club alongside Sir Alex Ferguson.

Doesnt really matter anymore. Seems unlikely league will be won on Gd as would need us to then draw at home v wolves and city lose to villa. Could happen but you’d get some crazy odds on it.

We’d also need a 7 goal swing so if we win by 5, we’d need city to lose by 2
Yeah **** it, we'll just have to win the last 2 and Gerrard is going to sort City out for us.

Wouldnt that just be poetic <laugh>

Gerrard banishing the ghosts of his slip to cement Liverpool as quadruple winners. :emoticon-0106-cryin

Just typing it makes my spine tingle no jokes<laugh>

Exactly. Most of us thought it was over (even though some weren't willing to admit it including myself) after drawing with Spurs. The fact it now looks likely we'll still be in with a chance on the last day of the season is great
Of course we all believed it was probably over, but my attitude is we never give up until it's mathematically impossible.
That's a winner's attitude, it's what I expect the team to have, and I'm surprised how readily some fans seem to give in.
I'm not talking about those who are generally pessimistic and always fear the worst (I don't really understand that either, but it's a different thing) - I mean those who just say it's not worth the fight.
I understand that we have another big final to come, but the league still isn't over.
Like I said earlier, what would happen if we were half-arsed about this game then City lost on Sunday? I suspect the biggest critics would be the same ones who want to throw the towel in.
Imagine if Gerrard had given up at HT in Istanbul, or Alisson against West Brom, Div against Everton.
Never give in while there's a glimmer of hope.

We are guaranteed a chance to win the champions league, I just don't want us to compromise that for an incredibly unlikely circumstance that we can win the league.

I understand your logic, but it's not in my nature to give up on something while it's still possible. More to the point, I doubt it's in Klopp's either.
I imagine we'll start with a few second-string players, but keep the big guns ready on the bench. I'm not expecting wholesale changes.

For what it's worth I've not given up I just looked at it realistically from the spurs result and that showed me it was highly unlikely that City would drop points in their remaining games.

Im glad I was wrong

I just think we can beat saints without, vvd, mane, mo, Thiago. Trent and robbo

There I've shortened my previous list

In memory of mito<rose>

Has Klopp won the tin pot charity shield yet? Can't remember if we have that yet.

Its not counted as a major trophy so its irrelevant.

No. Glorifies friendly... But still silver and something we will be competing for in 3 or 4 months from now.

Not a top priority. But now we're in it, I want to win it.

Villa will score 2 against City, Ings and Cout’s to score. Hope it’s enough. <whistle>

We’ve seen the impact of so many games over the last 2 matches. Fab, Salah, VvD, Robbo….all taken off….god knows who else is carrying knocks…we know that Klopp won’t take any risks with players amd any kind of win will do….so let’s see what happens….my gut tells me that we will make a lot (6+) of changes to the starting eleven yesterday. I can’t see how players can be ready for a game after 120 minutes on Saturday.

Even if we don't win the league - and i still don't think we will - I still want us to take it to the wire if we can.

It's clear from the Chelsea game that we are flagging a bit, so I trust klopp to pick who he believes is the best team.

Injurywise, whatever happens, happens. While I hope our ideal team plays in Paris, If they can't then so be it. It's one game so anything can happen.
