I'm really looking forward to this window i doubt it'll reach the heights many are anticipating, but it's the next phase of a 10 year plan to start getting big names.

Little and often seems the approach... Hopefully some idiot like Bruce will cough up for Hayden and Lascelles..

I'm not keen on flogging max but if they find someone prepared to cough 30 to 40 ms they can get two better players for that price.

Almiron? I've always backed him because he gives everything, but the harsh reality is that he's isn't good enough...

I think Darlow will move to make space for a new keeper to challenge Dubs.

Yeah it's definitely needed.. I hope they go with pope I think he's more proven than Henderson.. What you think? My knowledge of keepers is pretty poor...

Although Howe's a likeable guy, he does seem strong enough to tell a previous regular their team is up - hence getting Clark, Laecelles and Hayden out the squad in Jan.

Very much looking forward to the clear out, and yes Bruce lol. He loved Hayden, Laecelles et al, so no doubt he'll think all his Christmas's have come at once and buy up our knackers for West Brom... we can hope anyway.

Maxi amd Almirion are the 2 question marks, particularly Almirion who's forced his way back into the team now and is playing well. Maxi is such a loose cannon these days and loses the ball so much, will he be able to prosper in a stronger team like Robert and Ginola did? Maybe.

But yes, this will be a nice summer of watching the dogshit phased out and quality come in.

This Window is a very important one..... I read they're after more prem experience.. They know better than me, but surely we're jam packed to rafters with that now? It's some quality needed now imo. I don't want any more chris woods.

The Manchester City progress in transfers is a good one to use in comparison.

In the first summer transfer window after the money came in they signed Barry, Kolo Toure, Adebayor and Lescott, solid Prem players who pushed them up from 10th finish to a 5th place finish.

Not saying we need to follow that model to the letter, but we're perhaps in a similar position we're we can't attract the best yet, but need transfers that will provide us definite progress feom the current position.

Yes i want flash players from abroad too, but that also carries the risk that we've signed a whole load of dross that never cut it in the Prem - Cabella, Luuk De Jong, Tomasson, Andersson, Guivarch, blah blah

Pope is good, but already 30, and not really an improvement on Dubravka in terms of ability and age.

Henderson hardly plays and i can't see why we'd be interested. Same with the links to us with Kepa, he's clearly not amde it at Chelsea so why bother?

Bear in mind Dubs is a £1m keeper. We must have eyes on plenty of decent players abroad. Most top flight keepers will have the basics, then there’s those who can play out quickly and/or command an area. Oblak is a great example but there’s a good few we could get to improve on Dubs who wouldn’t cost Oblak money. In short, a Gk upgrade might not be as hard as we think.

As we’ve said countless times, scoring and creating chances are the priority areas.

Dubravka is and always has been decent never a priority to replace.

Do you mean £1m in transfer value? Hes worth whatever anyone pays. And £1m for a 33 year old full internation and regular Prem keeper would be a steal to anyone. So what's Kepa worth? Chelsea paid £75m for him and he can't get a game.

If Leeds go down which is looking likely than we should try and take Meslier, excellent keeper and will only get better as he’s only 22

Dubs stays no1 but if he gets injured we wouldn't have to play someone as useless as Darlow or Gillespie

It would do for the next couple of years

Would Henderson buy into that? Im sure hes bored of warming the bench at Man U and wants regular play. Ditto Pope who won't go down to a no 2.

Steve Harper was an exception (read: had no ambition) as he was happy to spend his career being a no 2.

We'd be paying them £12m now if we'd signed him. Just sayin...
