I liked it but nothing amazing, good performances but the story ambles along without ever being brilliant.
I'm going to have to put it out there. Ozark is ****ing ****. It had it's moments but was painfully slow with random stories that had no particular point. Yes Laura Linney is excellent in it and at times it's really great with wow moments. I binned it at the recent (pointless) gap when there was a couple of big deaths and they really seemed pointless and done for shock value and with no real big ending for those big characters. Luvscore swings wildly from 5 to a max 7/10 If you haven't seen it don't bother.
Wow. Just wow. The two deaths have a massive impact on how it finishes. Agreed it can be slow, but Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul both have Loads of slow moments. I noticed this a lot more when I rewatched them both last year.
Watched The Green Mile last night ... haven't seen it in years ... gotta say it is superb... if you haven't seen it you really should.
maybe they weren’t slow moments but you just didn’t get the same level of intrigue and excitement 2nd time round coz you knew the plot already hmmm interesting
Breaking bad Ozark Better call Saul (potential to be moved depending on ending) The Wire In that order.
Could be that. I’m not gonna start fault finding Breaking Bad, it’s my favourite series of all time. It certainly wasn’t flawless though. Plenty of weird little plot lines that went no where. Example: Why did Marie steal that Jewellery? And who cares?
Breaking Bad is a very good show, but grossly overrated. The last season was pretty pish. Ozark ive only seen half of season 1, and I liked it, but not seen enough. Better Call Saul I haven't seen at all. The only show that even comes anywhere close to the Wire in quality is the Sopranos. Game of Thrones Seasons 1-4 could have been a contender, but season 5 was dull, season 6 was the opposite, too much action not enough intrigue and the last two seasons, well, i've seen better writing on Dora the Explorer. Breaking Bad should have ended when Gus died. The last season I dont think there is a scene where Jesse isnt crying, has just cried or is about to cry. And throwing in a gang of Neo Nazi ******s as last minute antagonists was just :-I
