Congratulations Jack who as expected is confirmed as this years’ champion. Well deserved for a season of quiet calm consistency whilst being pressured by Riever and Botn for so long.
Jack obviously also takes Manager of the Year though only having won one manager of the month. There were 7 winners from the 9 months, Whitty and Ozzy picked up two awards each.
Goal of the Season award goes to Riever with 8 guest scores, narrowly beating Ozzy (also 8) but Riever had 51 against 48 correct scores. Botn with 64 was way out in front on correct scores.
This week was another good scoring one with Whitty continuing his strong April with a winning 15, taking him to the April manager award for his huge 72 total, including 2 guests which also give him the final Goal of the Month. Chunk had an excellent 13, 4 others got double figures – but look at Rooch and Cumbrian who pulled out all the stops against each other --- see the Cumberland Cup story on the other thread. !
Finally , a mention for Chunk and Riever who jointly set a world record of 24 points in one week back in December during that amazing week of massive scores overall – will that be beaten in our lifetime ?
