This shows the amount of work the new manager is going to have to do...........

It feels as if this is going back 3 or 4 years to the McLaren shambles...... we were so far off the pace tonight it was embarrassing....

I still don't get why there has been this fall off since the end of January........
For a start Hendrick came in and playing him and Johansen together in midfield, gave us zero pace, zero assists and zero goals. It upset the dynamic which already wasn't great and our tempo in trying to outscore sides evaporated. Once we stopped creating chances and scoring goals we were doomed with our defence. His insistence on never changing style or tactics even when things were becoming dire had inevitable consequences and once Willock got injured it was over. Our one shining light and main hope, without him we got to see what the side and the manager are capable of without him. I said before that the results were bad but its been the performances thst have depressed me the most, we went from scoring for fun to not even being able to produce a shot on goal. The passing and general midfield play has been absolutely atrocious since January and the defending is just hapless beyond belief. I'm really looking forward to next season, as long as we don't replace him with a chump or a twat. Please surprise me Rangers and bring in a bright, young coach with astute tactical awareness and a penchant fir attacking fluid football !

They got it spot on with their set pieces...... a raw 20 year old goal keeper so they stick 5 or 6 players on the goal line and put the ball a yard or so from the goal to see what he was made off........ not once or twice but every time they had a corner or throw in, just building pressure........ and the takers put the ball in the right spot nearly every time........

Us, we can't even get the ball beyond the first defender..........

Hey, we did eventually touch the ball in their 18yard box. Credit where credit is due

Proper load of ****, worse than I thought they would be given playing with nothing to lose but pride...they managed to lose that too...that tit Robinson scoring and Albert somehow managing to back heel the ball out of play laughable reminders of how far we've fallen in a few months, I sincerely hope a manager change makes a difference, trouble is we are now pinning all our hopes on this being a success, def time for a rest

I felt sorry for the young lad, produced a couple of fine saves. You'd have though that we'd of been practicing defending from set pieces all week as its hardly anything new from Sheffield but hey that would've meant doing defensive training ! Oh hang on a minute

Mahoney did well.
Kakay was great when on
We had to play Field at LCB..he has a left foot.

Austin scored a typical Austin goal

McCallum was OK

I'll stop there other than to say United had to win and they did.

Would have liked to see us play last week at Stoke

No offence intended Beth but why do you have to play a left footer at centre back?
Thats straight out of the Warbles handbook! I notice when he decides to play with a striker, sometimes two if we are lucky, both are right footed.

He's played Sanderson in all 3 positions across the back line lol
