It’s actually looking like a change may happen at long last. The leadership hustling has started, talk that the other party photographs will appear or be given to police then it’s game over. As someone on the radio said yesterday Boris didn’t even negotiate the deal with India. It was all done. He just went to look statesmanlike and try to control the narrative. The man is a power obsessed self obsessed arsehole who ‘got Brexit done badly’. It should now have 4 words now.
I actually think Starmer will get the hot seat in a year or two time. As long as the labour party doesn't self implode.
During the Brexit campaign I kept seeing people quote 'fishing quotas' as a reason for wanting out. Fair enough, I'm sure people were genuinely concerned. This is yesterday, we're reaping the benefits already "Andrew Crook, the president of the National Federation of Fish Friers, said the cost of cod for his shop Skipper's in Euxton, Lancashire, has soared from £8 per kilogram to nearly £14."
My Mrs was in a department store the other day. They talked her into getting made up because ‘they were bored’. They were bored because they were having massive supply problems because there were difficulties with imports. She said it must be costing the store a fortune because they have staff but very few goods to sell. Only intermittent deliveries. Ironically the staff member was Finnish. As I said, they got Brexit done which I think was right after Cameron’s disastrous referendum, but as with everything this administration do they did it badly for the everyday person and business, driven by a worrying ideology.
There are three petrol stations in Newton Stewart and none of them had petrol yesterday. Fortunately I'm diesel otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get to Dumfries for the train today. No idea wtf is going on any more tbh.
To be fair I don't think anyone was defending him. And apart from giving peerages to dodgy Russians, hiding in fridges, having free holidays in Russian owned villas, unlawfully closing down Parliament, supporting Dominic Cummins, misleading the House, partying at 'work events', breaking laws he made himself and performing his ludicrous elbow bumps .... ... what has Boris ever done wrong.
His party members are still defending him. I’ll add to the list blatantly racist homophobic and mysogynistic comments prior to being elected (failure to model ‘British values) corrupt commissioning during Covid -VIP lanes to Tory donors https://www.standard.co.uk/insider/good-law-project-jolyon-maugham-qc-ppe-sleaze-b932225.html?amp and breach of electoral law over donors https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...son-flat-downing-street-law-b1972748.html?amp Quite the CV
T jjjin UK r Like the leader of the Scottish Conservatives who demanded his resignation ... ... then demanded he stays to end the Russian invasion. (Otherwise knows as local elections.) Joking apart I don't think the Ukraine crisis will ultimately help him cling on, just delay things. His colleagues say he's vital to ending the conflict but it won't happen and Putin will just carry on. Once that becomes too obvious to ignore they'll turn on him and he won't have a good reason to stay.
A bloke on the radio who knows Bonko personally says Johnson is just being Johnson and doesn't understand why people are surprised at the circus surrounding him. He said has always been a liar, a bullshitter, a clown and has "winged it" into every job he has ever had. He also added that he should never be anywhere near a position as an MP, let alone PM as they are jobs as servants to the British public, and that Johnson is far too selfish to care about anybody but himself and his own best interests. Unfortunately I don't think he was acquainted with Jeremy Corbyn or Diane Abbott so probably couldn't pass judgement on them
And he still trounced all the other parties put together, I think there is far greater things to worry about before Bonko mate.
A row has broken out with Bonko supporting MPs talking to the daily heil saying, Angela Raynes crosses her legs on the front bench, like Basic Instinct to put him off. O dear...Will they do anything, smear anyone to prop up Bonko. The condemnation of this ploy, has been universal, even the daily heil and bonko have now said how awful etc
"Operation Save Big Dog" will plumb new depths of desperation, never before seen in public life. Frankly it is pathetic.
Last time Labour were in control, Tony told whoppers to parliament about Weapons of mass destruction, causing thousands of deaths oh and the human rights ploy, which gave his wife a barrister in that field free access to taxpayer money, still waiting for the outrage, apparently fibbing about parties is more important to Labour than multiple deaths
