Would they?
I think if you asked a lot of fans , including those who skirt with PL relegation, would they rather have promotions or stability in the PL verses a night in Europe playing for a cup which is the equivalent of the old inter toto (hope I’ve said that correctly), I think most would choose the promotions or stability.

I disagree. I think most fans of smaller clubs would give an arm for a semi final visit to the Stadio Olympico. Especially those who've never had an opportunity for a European away day.

I think it's just typical English arrogance personally. Same as the way most think of the Europa - West Ham showing how it should be done for the non fancied clubs.

Outside of Leicester you've got Roma, Marseille and Feyernoord and I'd personally love a trip to either. Hardly the postmen of Europe is it.

There may be some who would prefer to finish 17th in the PL but they don't follow the same sport as me.

Yus mate ... and should we makes it through it will be either Marseilles or Feyenord in the final... former Johnson's Paint trophy winners all <laugh>... great to be in that company tbf <cheers>

We beat feyenord in the champions league and lost to Marseille in the eufa Cup semi..

Marseille away is a tremendous day out... You should go if you can

No only a few oldies left that saw nufc winning things.

Furthest I can remember back as a kid, was Ron Harris I think it was lifting the ECWC for Chelsea, and Leeds I think won the Fairs Cup, not sure about European Cup winners around that time, probably Real Madrid, too early for Forest. Aside from Celtic and Man Utd, not many British clubs did much in the EC until the late 70's (I think).

I’m one of those fans you are talking about and it’s not arrogance, I have been fortunate a to see my club in Europe.
I still wouldn’t swap it for either stability or promotion.

Newcastle won the old version of the eufa Cup...

Fairs Cup became the eufa then the Europa league and now they've stuck this Cup on the end of it.

I suppose if you've never been in Europe much its a big deal

It's OK ... but having been in the Champions League and the Europa league (4 times) during the Prem era, it's hardly a new experience for us ...

Have you heard of The Champions League? <whistle>

My 1st memory of football was my dad taking me to my 1st game in the early 80's vs millwall.

I just remember getting beat and nothing has ever really changed since really.

They played in it, long before Leicester, so I guess that would be a yes <whistle>
You do also realise you’re trying to take the piss out of a club which sits 9th in English clubs honours list, where do Leicester sit?
