I’ve only seen us win 1 league title (the one before I was only just born) where as seen us win 2 CL so be nice to even it up

Also atm, city have won 2 of last 3. Would be nice if we could split and we’d both won 2 of the last 4, rather than city 3 of last 4 and us looking like an anomaly.

I reckon if clubs could agree lfc to win lesgue and city to win CL then both clubs would have your hand and take deal with now.

Nope. Want both please.
City can have the FA cup but only as an absolute last resort.

Oh, for sure. I fully advocate fighting for all three remaining bits of silver. I'm not willing to ease up on one to boost our chances on another.

Resting a few players last night was fine. We were two goals up and they needed resting... But I'm still all for going for.the quad. Almost certainly won't happen, but it should still absolutely remain the focus.

And to get nunber 20, catch up with Man U.

Right now though I don't see any reason not to go for all four. FA Cup and CL are only a maximum of another 2 and 3 games each, of which 1 and 2 we already have to play anyway. The league seems the least likely at the moment, but a cup Treble would be nice if we pulled it off.

The league seems the least likely at the moment.

Not sure I agree. I know we have a harder run in on paper than City, but I also know City drop more points against teams outside the top 6 than inside the top 6.

I'd give us somewhere between 35-40% chance at Premier League.

FA cup... I'd give us 50% chance of reaching final and probably 60% chance of winning final if we made it that far. (Considering most likely Chelsea but probably CP)... So 30% chance at winning FA cup.

Champions League... Id give us 65% chance at beating Villarreal... And 55% chance at beating finalist (60% if RM, a little over 50% if MC). So... About 36% chance overall.

So PL most likely, Champions League next most likely and FA the least likely of the three remaining silverware.

Incidentally, that makes it about 4% chance of winning the quad.

I actually think we have more chance of winning PL than any of the cup competitions.

worst case scenario now.

2nd in league
Lose to city in SF and see them win the FA cup v palace.
Lose to City in CL final
winners of league cup.

best case scenario is obvious but is there a deal with the devil anyone would take?

for exmaple would you throw the fa cup to win the league?

would you take the CL knowing city would win the league and FA cup etc etc?
I'd throw the lot to win the league.

I think we should be in the CL final. and being in a final means you have to win it or it kills the party.

the FA cup will be forgotten quickly. Lose this weekend and we will be straight into angrily beasting utd without lube :)
Cheslea in the FA cup will be desperate this weekend to put the CL behind them but have to be slightly tired and palace i don't think have what it takes to really hurt them. My ideal is LFC v palace in the final. I would fear another nightmare cheslea v lfc final. For that reason alone a Cheslea v city slogfest could well help us for the league. I would love jurgen to get an FA cup to round out the list (only kenny has won all 3 domestic trophies as LFC manager)

The CL final will be City or Rela madrid. We should be favourites to be there so this for me is after the league is done and the icing o nthe cake.

I would love a big old bus tour again but i think it has to be the trble or the double.

I love a CL win but yeah, PL please
Obviously I want us to win everything, but if I had to choose between them the PL would always be my priority.
It's such a marathon, a hard slog, and if you win it you know you deserve it and you're the best in the League. The greater element of luck in a cup competition means that you can never truly make that claim.
We might end up with nothing but the Mickey Mouse Cup yet.

Wouldn't wish injury on anyone but if by some chance DeB is not a bluff and is really out... That would be great and I'd tip odds of winning in our favour.

My odds would be

10% at league max
30% in fa cup overall given chavs will be in final
95% to get to cl final
50% in final before we know opponent.

If we drag this league battle to the final day it'll be some achievement given we have a few real games in there and city have gimmies. I said this well before Christmas as well that we needed ro build a lead and we never looked like it. The form in early blocks wasn't anywhere near the level.

The fixtures always looked bad as a run in.
