Yeah, theres nothing out of the extraordinary that record (although liverpool havent always been that good) and im sure if i pull up you guys against city it will be pretty decent too.

It was more a post to show that rightly, people expect pool to win against you guys. Ordinarily you guys would be a tough opponent against anyone but pool seem to have the handle on yourselves whereas if it was city i would give you guys a way bigger chance of beating them (yes i do believe in bogey sides)

Is it Lacazette or is it legohead? Even now his record is better than 1 in 3 for Arsenal.
Aubameyang also stopped scoring and has resumed doing so now, albeit at Barca.
Nketiah can't score in the league, either. Is that all a coincidence?

I think we'd have a better chance against City because of our football styles.
We'll find it harder against the raging German due to that, rather than any difference in quality.
It wouldn't surprise me if that's the case today, either. Cancelo's role may cost City.

Absolutely blinding weekend of results for us.

That may have been the best weekend of football for us results-wise in a long, long while. Arsenal, Utd, West Ham and Wolves all losing whilst we thump Villa.

    Laaaarrrvely!

Actually I have noted that in Spurs vs Poool games that
they go wobbly in the last 25 mins, as the gegenpress
is not sustainable over 90 mins even with 3 subs,

Conte Spurs do not seem to be expending much energy
over the 90 mins (why bother when you have our current
    front free) .

Plays a half with 10 men on Thursday. Makes minimal changes. Loses, as his team's knackered. <cheers>

I think it's probably a combination of both, but Lacazette's decline this season has been noticeable. He's not as quick, not as strong, his finishing has gotten miles worse (as I will show you soon) and he doesn't even hold the ball up well anymore.

Aubameyang and Arteta's relationship clearly was beyond the point of repair. Although I would have preferred to keep him, it would have been useless if he wasn't motivated and if his poor form was going to continue (which it likely would have based on the prior 18 months). We should have replaced him instantly, though. Gross negligence to not do so. That is on Arteta and Edu.
Nketiah has never been a Premier League calibre striker. It's ridiculous we kept hold of him when he rejected two contract offers and has never proven to be much use when he's played in the league anyway. Another terrible decision here.

Overall, our striker situation has been a total mess. It will probably get rectified in the Summer, but it won't change the fact that getting one in January would have improved our chances of top-4 this season. Next season, you'd imagine it'll be harder.

Other teams aren't just going to let us improve without challenge.

Has over double the league goals Lacazette has, so can't be any worse!

I actually wouldn't mind Ivan Toney. He's looked a handful when I've seen him play, and has a lot of the traits Arteta's looking for in a striker. He also has 14 goals (12 in the league) and 6 assists this season in 31 matches, which is pretty good going. I also don't think he'd cost a fortune.

I can see there being plenty of interest in Toney now that he's proved himself in the Premier League.
I wouldn't have thought that he'd be available cheaply.

When I say 'cheap', I mean <£60m. I don't envisage him costing more than that.

Most of the targets we've been reportedly looking at will cost more than that, unless their contract is immediately expiring or there's 12 months on their deal.

Would you be interested in one slightly used Lukaku?

Kinda speaks volume that I wouldn't take him if he was offered to us <laugh>. Wrong attitude, isn't particularly clinical or prolific and is poor technically.

    12 goals in 36 games overall, 5 league goals in 20 games. £100m? :emoticon-0127-lipss

Are you sure brunel? You guys have a history of overpaying for slightly idle players? (See the last 2 mega contracts handed out)?

As I'm sure you know Bobby, I don't support every decision my club make. I was against the Ozil contract extension. I wasn't against the Aubameyang one though, admittedly, but that backfired horribly due to manager and player fallout, which couldn't be predicted.
