Brighton had scored one goal in seven games before today Dr Tottenham apparently offers referrals now...
Last 8 days - Spurs 6 points Utd 1, Arsenal 0 +8 goal difference to -1 and -4 I don’t think even the most optimistic of you expected that
Nope definitely didn’t. The squad can’t rest on their laurels though and this is where Conte will remind them there is still work to be done to secure that all important CL spot
The pundits can't really make up their mind about the so-called title decider this afternoon. For my part, everything else being equal, ManC should win (of course all things aren't equal and in a one off match anything could happen). This is because Pool are good, but not *as good* as the pundits keep saying. Sure they've had 10 straight wins, but not 10 straightforward wins. Plus, as we have suggested often, they do often get "the benefit of the doubt" from the officials. Not that this will be absent this afternoon, but I suspect any bias will be toned down a bit, or shall we say a bit less likely than when they play other teams. So rather than just saying they've won 10 on the bounce and therefore they are in superb form, the pundits might want to actually analyse those wins and find they haven't played great in all those games. Hence my feeling that ManC are more likely to win, though it would not surprise me if Pool do. Following on from that I have lost count how many times I have heard the pundits say that these two teams are far and away the best in the land (sometimes the say Europe / the World too!) And yet *not once* have any of them mentioned that Pool and Citeh have played us three times and neither of them have beaten us. This does not make us better than them of course, but it surely it should be mentioned? Other things that have been assumed is that this is the title decider because those two are probably going to win all the rest of their games. Not so, Pool's run-in is probably slightly more difficult. Plus Pool have to play us. Again, while I have heard it mentioned that 'it will be a difficult game', again that would be an opportunity to mention our record against those two, which of course the pundits again don't. Yes Pool would certainly be the favourites against us, but our front three can score against anyone, so that means we have much more of a chance than the so-called experts are giving us. So I'm not predicting that we beat Pool, but I do suggest that the pundits, who as usual tend to say almost the same things, are lacking in their analysis. As usual.
In recent times in the PL, Spurs give the Poool a game regardless of the end result or what was at stake. Come this game, Spurs may need a win to take 4th place while the Poool need to win to remain in the title race. That aside, if the Poool do not beat Spurs then AFAIK Spurs will be the only PL team this season not to lose to either of the champions elect.
Honestly, your record against liverpool in recent years has been shocking. Since 2018 2 draw 7 losses Since 2013 1 win 5 draws 14 losses
Most teams have a poor recent record against Liverpool & Friends. They've only failed to beat Chelsea this year and one of those two matches was the final. Our record against the Tory ground stealers has been appalling forever, pretty much. It's not new.
A potential agent Eriksen < standard > aside, thank God the name of the team I support starts with a "T" .
It actually depresses me that nearly every club in the division has a better striker(s) than us. Pain. At least I never have to see Lacazette again after the season ends, though. Every cloud…
