Couldn’t agree more……Dennis Skinner was a legend, as well as being as funny as **** with his quips……..The “Dodgy Dave” speech was fantastic The fact he lost his seat after so long just goes to prove how far down Labour had fallen in peoples minds.
I couldn’t get through to OVO energy for last 2 hours (after them stating the lines were closed for an hour). Went online and submitted it that way, did gas through the automated line. My Mrs badgered me to do it ‘cos Martin Lewis said we should
Im assuming it gets read automatically and takes the rate change into consideration. I keep thinking of getting one, but as they kept hounding me and trying to bully me into getting one, I’ve always refused point blank.
I had an EDF smart meter installed mid-January and, although it’s quite useful and makes you think about what you’re using, I cannot reconcile the cost it’s recording with what then comes up a few days later on the app. No idea why there’s a disparity, but every day it’s around 50p out up or down. Annoys the pedant in me. Who amongst you have secured a new increased energy tariff rather than taking your chances with variable? From what I hear, we should start paying for our energy in roubles.
Was at a Stonewall, yes I know, trust me they do some things well and some things ****, workplace conference last Friday, poor Mike Freer MP had covid so couldn’t make it in person due to covid but thought the conference important enough to do a video piece about the work he and the government are doing for the community… less than a week later the banning of conversion therapy bill is dropped, something he made sure he mentioned. Never trust a Tory
Basically a practice with origins in religion where gays are persuaded to see the ‘error’ in their ways, when I say persuaded what I mean is both mentally and physically tortured.
To be honest Wills, you’re dealing with people who are mad enough to think there is a “God” and that when we die we either sit on a cloud, surrounded by angels….or burn forever down below while someone sticks a pitchfork up your arse. Them believing that being gay can be somehow “cured” is probably on par with their usual madness and proves the backwardness of many religions.
I believe we may have similar opinions on the subject of religion. As the comedian Richard Herring puts it a magic man in the sky who grants wishes, grow up.
I’ve seen death too many times to be thinking it’s all gonna be harps, Ángels and fluffy clouds…..however I can see the obvious “want” for something to continue after we die, as when we get older and approach the end…it all seems so “final”. Understandable why so many elders start to go to church and find religion when they approach old age…..more in hope I guess.
Oh my days Johnson has done a u turn on the conversion therapy bill, clearly he thought he could do it on the sly but nope after the backlash he’s done another u turn, a u turn on a u turn, the fella must be getting dizzy. Maybe he could convert to being a decent human being.
Isn't the reason the legislation was going to be halted, was because it was felt by the Equalities and Human Rights Commission that it was important that kids with gender dysphoria received appropriate support? Surely, even now the legislation is going ahead, children confused about their sexuality should not be deprived of professional help and advice.
