I’m not saying there’s no point talking about those things! Just saying I can see why people are feeling apathetic
Cantwell dropped to the bench and Bournemouth are winning 3-0 away at a promotion rival. Somehow I don't think we'll be getting that 11 million quid.
Must be Farke's fault or Smith's. We are going to struggle to sell him. Trouble is do we really want him back and in the squad next season, causing disruption.
Summer signings reviewed: Gunn: 6 Made some decent saves. Still conceded lots. Gibson: 4 Beaten to often both aerially and on the deck Kabak: 6 Sometimes he is great, sometimes a liability. Exciting either way. Been a little hit and miss fitness-wise too. Giannoulis: 4 Hooked off a few times for being beaten too easily. Top Champ player or poss better in an attacking PL team. Not good enough defensively. Williams: 7 Excellent work rate and fire in his belly. Still eaten fairly often down the flank. Rashica: 7 Looks a danger going forward but still little output in terms of goals/ assists. This could have been different with better players around him. Gilmour: 4 Too weak, too slow. Lots of workrate, but he isn't the powerhouse we needed. Normann: 6 Generally decent in the ball. Too injury prone for me. Unless we get him for free, I would let him go back and spend the money on someone more reliable. Lees-Melou: 5 Slow, slow start. Has slightly improved recently and think he will do a job in the Champ. Not sure he is what we needed though. Better than Gilmour and Kenny at this level I guess. Sargent: 5 Similar to Gilmour. All huff n puff, no end product. Think the reason he never kicked on from Watford is because he knew in his heart that his "wondergoal" was a fluke. Generally, pretty crap in possession and im not sure his is even very good at providing help defensively. Tzolis: 1 Not necessarily his fault. But as a signing, he has been pointless. Unless he kicks in in the Champ, we have been done for £££. Like Gilmour, we didn't need "one for the future". We needed one for NOW! Lets hope he comes good. I hope he does as would be a shame to waste his talent. Overall: 5 Not enough PL quality. Too many mistakes in terms of position or ability. I know we don't have lots of £££ but £32m (ish) on Giannoulis, Gibson, Tzolis and Sargent is just poor business.
No way. Better not to take up the option than to have him screwing up the start of yet another season. Three in a row.
And still some fans have a go at him for being past it. If the rest of the team were anywhere near as good at their jobs as Teemu is at his, we wouldn't be staring relegation in the face.
I was at Ipswich Station on the way to London and loads of Cambridge United fans marched through shouting Yeeeeeeeeelllooooooooooooooows. They play Ipswich, had to chuckle
Will Wes be playing, do we know? If so, come on, Wes, scupper their play-off dreams. It's probably the only bit of joy we Canary fans will get today.
