No I said I think he's doing better than many of Trump's predecessors so far, and there is a low bar there too due to the US Presidential system I mentioned. I'm sure too there is much to fix after Trump and new very demanding events have occurred since he became President. Inflation is a problem the World over generated by the Pandemic and now War, so there will be many angry people the World over as you see in the widespread demonstrations about energy prices from Canada to the Phillipines. So he needs time.
Unpleasant! You are sensitive. As I described, I meant no criticism of your colleagues , I just remember well that what people said in the US was far different to what they did or voted back when I lived there, and doubt much has changed since, including in current popularity ratings. Biden and Harris Seem decent and smart people ( that maybe wrong I don't know them) which is a pleasant change from what I see in all too many world leaders.

War's over. Thanks Bono...': U2 front-man is mercilessly mocked over his 'unhinged' poem for Ukraine that was read aloud by Nancy Pelosi on St. Patrick's Day 'as if they'd ended the war'

Pelosi at the White House’s annual 'Friends of Ireland' luncheon yesterday.

Bewildered guests were treated to such lines as: 'They struggle for us to be free/ From the psycho in our human family/ Ireland's sorrow and pain/ Is now the Ukraine/ And saint Patrick's name now Zelensky.'

After finishing her reading of Bono's musings on Vladimir Putin's bloodthirsty invasion of Ukraine, the room erupted with laughter - before Pelosi moved awkwardly on to introduce a Riverdance performance.

The poem was quickly derided on social media, with one Twitter commenter saying: 'Insane to look at the net worth of Bono and Pelosi and know that this is as much as they’re willing to do to help, AND they think it means anything?'

Another online wit quipped: 'BREAKING Reports that Russian troops are surrendering en masse after being read a translation of Bono's poem.'

Meanwhile, Fox News' Tucker Carlson remarked sarcastically that Pelosi 'may have unveiled the most powerful weapon in her armament' by revealing the poem.

Carlson mercilessly mocked the San Francisco Democrat, saying that most people would have kept the verses to themselves, or shared it with their family.

'What you would not do is read it in public in deadly seriousness, unless you had your head so far up your own butt that you had no idea where you were, in which case, you'd pull it out and read it like you'd just ended the war.

You and Bono. Thanks Nancy,' he said with a smirk.

Nancy Pelosi instigated a round of nervous laughter after she read a poem by U2 singer Bono about the war in Ukraine

Tell you what let’s wait until the mid term elections to make a call, though I assume in your eyes it will be someone else’s fault if the expected Democratic collapse, closely allied to the performance of Biden and Harris, happens.

In the meantime it might help if he took the cognitive function test that even Trump had as part of his health assessment. As a man who has had two open brain aneurysm operations - in the old days when damage to the brain was almost inevitable by this invasive procedure, plus as one who suffers from atrial fibrillation, which has a proven link with cognitive decline, Biden would be doing himself a favour.

By the way, there were 4 presidential candidates at the 2020 elections. There were 5 in 1972. It’s never a binary choice in the US.

C'mon, the reality is there are only 2 choices, 1 Democratic, 1 Reoblican. The others are never going to win, may just take a few votes from 1 of of the other 2.

No surprise with the current state of the World and the mess left by Trump, Biden isn't polling well now, have an idea its normal to an extent at mid term elections.

How do you know Biden has not had such health tests? He seems perfectly healthy for someone his age to me, certainly sharp. It sounds like you pay attention to what Trump says about Biden which is as about as valuable as what Boris Liar says about anyone who disagrees with him.

    Ossie, come on.
    Biden looks anything but sharp.

His weakness clearly encouraged Putin in his latest escapade imo.

I think you are in denial. Amazingly I don’t reference Trump at all, why would I? The President’s health assessments are published, and did not include cognitive function. 38 members of congress have requested that Biden undertake tests, and he has not done so. Loads of comment from the liberal as well as the conservative media.

If his behaviour is perfectly normal for a 78 year old perhaps that’s an indication that perfectly normal 78 year olds should not be President. Reagan was 77 when he finished his second term. With Alzheimer’s.

I'm sure he can answer for himself, but he said that Biden was a factor, didn't he? The obvious suggestion is that the invasion wouldn't have happened if Trump was still President.

You should read the article I posted. Trump was Putin's 'useful idiot'.

Sorry, I didn’t see the ‘obvious suggestion’ at all and still don’t.

I’m sure Putin was delighted with Trump, just as he was with Obama who walked away from Syria and allowed him to practice his ‘massacre civilians’ military tactics there without censure.

I think people stick up for Biden because of what they think he stands for - old style liberal Democratic politics, not being Trump etc - rather than what he is, or what he seems to be - an old career politician with a nasty streak and speech and memory problems.
