Tobes, you know these things, and I seem to have missed you these last few weeks (I've been in the GC pit, tbf, busy doing nothing): this £1.5bn that Chelsea owe Abramovich - why do they not need to pay it back? Is it built into the purchase price? I'm confused because it wasn't spent on infrastructure, so my question is this: what is to stop the Saudis 'lending' Newcastle £100bn, then simply writing it off in ten years or so? Not being snide, it's a genuine question - asked all over the show, but got no answer. Only you and Astro, IMHO, seem to know these answers, and he seems indisposed.

We had already lost James Justin and Ricardo Pereira ... then Jonny Evans in the first half of the cup final and Wesley Fofana 21 minutes into that game against you... we had an 18 year old playing left back whose first appearance in a stadium with any fans was the FA Cup semi ... was just a bridge too far on a busy season and we were running on fumes ... not like when we beat you 2-0 at yours earlier in the season when all those mentioned were available...

Oh it's undoubtedly a poor season by our recent standards... and if it was down purely to the squad getting stale etc, I'd be concerned... but it's not ... we are very capable but players like Vardy and Jonny Evans being out has hit us hard ... but the way the young defence played yesterday against a really good Rennes gives lots of reason to think we could have a good end to the season ... only negative is that N'didi and Albrighton had to come off injured and Harvey Barnes took a shocker of a tackle at the end that VAR would have got their lad a red for ... just hoping it hasn't done him damage because he has been really good last few games
