Good first half performance.
Players playing for new contracts and others maybe hoping to play in the Prem next year.
Hopefully no decisions are made emotional and we assess at the end of the season.

Reflecting on last night's result, it was a ****ing massive performance.

3 points probably makes us safe.

Defence looks solid.

Workrate in midfield was immense.

A watershed game I feel.

We won't be relegated now and the new owner's plans can begin to take shape.

We'll look back on last night's result and see it as the start of something special.

A turning point for Shota too, weight off the shoulders as a fan I think it’s fairly obvious that the starting team from last night is our strongest so can start to implement his style more and be more expansive like we were most part last night.

Having no midweek games for the last couple weeks seems to have allowed him time on the training pitch to get some ideas across.

Saying that though, we'll probably be gash on Saturday.

They need to learn to play under the pressure of expectation.

This team is brilliant off the ball and for glimpses looked good on it yesterday but need to be able to be pressed and play through the lines confidently.

A lot of players playing for their next contract whether that be with us or not. Wouldn’t mind some continuity but we won’t manoeuvre much from the bottom 6 if majority of those 8 players out of contract are kept on.

Suspect some regulars this season may become squad players next if they don't move on. We know there be an overhaul based on Acun's comments, but I certainly think they'll want to retain some of the grit and energy we currently have in defensive and midfield areas.

I certainly wouldn't be wishing many of last nights 11 out of the door, but you'd definitely wonder about the moncur/cannon/smith types who haven't really made an impact.

I've got a funny feeling we're gonna be real shocked about the team members next season.

Theres lot of work to do if they want to get value from that promised 'top 8 budget' between now and August.

That said, they won't be bringing in a whole new 25 man squad either.

Think they'd have been working on it since signing up. Thinking there'll be a lot of player changes i.e higher calibre players.
Bringing in a coach like Van Der Veen will help he’ll have seen some talent in the Dutch Youth set up. Hopefully TP’s replacement is the same.

Personally I trust Shota and Co to make sensible decisions on the contract front but if he wants to make any real progress none of them are good enough for a top half side playing regularly

Defensive record is currently top half, away defensively we're top 10, not even top half.

One or two players must be doing something right.

Think that’s a lot down to shape a lot of defensive minded players would thrive in this shape unfortunately that’s not sustainable for a team chasing a play off spot unless your forwards hit a massive purple patch bit like Huddersfield
