Here we are then. Another totally inadequate match day thread. Fortunately, and as Frankfurter alluded to on the prediction thread, there will be something far more substantial on the Lilly White's board courtesy of our good friend Thermaclad. Anyway, this is a chance to do the double over Preston. Perhaps final closure on day we conceded six at a crucial stage of the season. Having done far better than our cousins against Fulham and then beating playoff hopefuls QPR on their own patch, is this a chance to increase our points count against an inconsistent PNE. Excellent on their day but poor on others. Bloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooobirds
As Masky would suggest: Tom Finney will be looking forward to getting crosses in for the likes of Tommy Docherty, Bill Shankly, David Moyes, Howard Kendall and even that young tyro David Beckham
Thanks for the praise https://www.not606.com/threads/card...-city-stadium-12-3-3022.399423/#post-15686224 Will not be there so it will be a cut and paste match report, the coach leaves from here at 7.30 am not sure which way it is going possibly via the Orkneys, thought about going by train but the one that I wanted was fully booked so it's falling asleep in front of the telly to the cricket. Be wary though Trevor Kettle is 4th official the man is a danger Enjoy the game end of season run has has begun looks like Hugill has found a club which fits his style of play
How’s Cunningham been this season. His City career never really got started. Has Murphy kicked a ball in anger yet? Finally, is the Riddler still in the Deepdale counting house?
Cunningham back on Wednesday was playing well Murphy just back after 3 months out and yes we still have the Riddler keeps stalking me at M&S at Euston after London away games
Preston are the draw specialists - they've drawn more than any other Championship side this season. By far the most of their results are decided by a single goal either way. Can't see this one today being much different - just hope the one goal advantage goes our way. I get the feeling that Morison has sussed this and will try to keep it tight until the death. I hope not, because if this evolving side of ours is sent out with a positive attitude going forward, it can do some serious damage to the mid table sides we face in the upcoming fixtures.
My powers of recall must be failing me, or have we been awarded a single penalty this season? I can't remember one at all but that might just be me - anyone out there able to confirm this?
Cheers Nin - now Kieffer has gone, who would take it should we ever be awarded one? Ralls or Doyle would be my guess.
Just looked and City are 13/8 favourites to win this. Predictable odds but a bit short for a decent return unless you stump up and risk a bigger stake. Won't bother. Going for something that needs two things to happen - a City win and both teams to score. That's on offer at 15/2 - 20 quid just gone on. I might have a pop on a scorer when the teams are announced.
OK. Zak Davies and Hugill both on 3-1 to score - Tommy Doyle is on 17/2. No brainer - 10 quid on Tommy boy.
