He said this when it happened because it was a well known fact nufc would spend big in January... Yesterday he was asked a question. Its just nufc fans taking everything personally as usual and failing to empathise or understand both sides have an argument.

I agree with him actually because we gained an advantage on the original fixture list. Southampton have to play a stronger side than they were scheduled to play against.

Whether other clubs did it too is irrelevant its still a valid opinion he had that new signings shouldn't be eligible to play...

Nufc haven't broken any rules though.

I hope we play gamereas and he scores the winner in the last minute :emoticon-0142-happy

I disagree. We've been at a marked disadvantage for the previous fourteen years, yet I didn't hear Ralph or the rest of the league saying they should rest their recently acquired players against us because Mike Ashley is a ****.

That's got absolutely nothing to do with it<laugh>

I think we should protest the cancelling of the Crystal Palace game as they want to play in another competition that weekend. If they want to enter two competitions they should make sure they have enough players to compete on both fronts as required.

After all we realised we might have a similar problem and made sure that we quickly solved it.

BTW I know you'll disagree because you're too emotionally invested in nufc..

Southampton fans will agree

Then there's people that see both sides ie me

I think we had a stronger chance of getting a result against them in the original fixture as we would have been coming straight off the Man Utd performance, which in my opinion was the catalyst for this upturn in form. 8 games without a defeat and I keep thinking to myself we're due a **** display.

Yeah, following that display we looked superb against...

Cambridge.

You're wrong I'm afraid he had a perfectly sound argument.

It's only rubbish if you ignore the reality.
So you agree with his argument. So do you think there should be a new rule that in any games which the PL postpones (e. g. for League Cup or any other reason) and the rescheduled game takes place after or during Jan transfer window, all teams should not be allowed to play any players who weren’t in the squad on the day the original fixture was scheduled?

Presumably you would also want that to apply if it was Southampton who had asked for the postponement.

No I said I agree with his argument that new signings not being able to play in games rescheduled wasn't an outrageous view.

I know football fans and if this was the other way around people would be in her saying the same things.

Wasn't his original view that our injured or suspended players should also be out. Sure at the time it was Wilson and possibly Manq who were due to miss the game.

We might as well park this, it's all completely moot. Since he was banging on they rescheduled a match through Covid.

New signings mate.. I see his point and I'd be saying that if it was the other way around.

I don't understand why him saying that makes him an arsehole.

He also complimented nufc on what they've done,.
