Ffs @Roland Deschain your negativity will lose us this one. Wood will score and you will declare your love infatuation for him
Weve been getting worse these last few weeks. The tactical switch and fitness improvement threw a few opponents off but they’ve worked us out a bit since and will be looking to drive us back 10 yards so the old Rafa/Bruce habits come back out. For me it’s vital we start Bruno to avoid this. Another factor has been the realisation that you can pretty much leave Wood alone cos he’s no threat in any situation, can’t hold it up and is generally about five minutes off the pace. I’d go with Bruno in, Manquillo in and Shelvey/Krafth out. Purely because the good luck will run out and so will the performance levels of these two. I’d drop Wood but he’s lucky the only player in the squad who is worse is Gayle so we’ve no option. Would leave ASM on the bench for now.
I listened to their manager in his presser. Man is he a dick. He’s still crying about the postponed match. Get over it ya div!
It would be fair enough if we were loads of games behind other teams but we are not. He’s probably just looking for something to distract the press from their heavy defeat at Villa last weekend. I hope that our fans that go try to wind them up about it.
I don’t believe we broke any rules. And he doesn’t know the extent of our covid problems at the time. You take it at face value. It’s no different to a re-arranged game for cup purposes. As for the transfer additions that’s just tough luck.
If you genuinely think that single isolated incident makes him somehow a decent player, I can’t help you.
No he never said otherwise. It's his opinion that he expressed and if it was the other way around I'd be saying the same thing. I understand his side he doesn't have to kiss our arses.
Its good to know that he is worried that we have gained an advantage. Suggests he thinks we may get something out of it.
Using his own logic, if we had sold our 3 best players after the game were postponed does this mean he'd be happy for us to have them loaned back for this one game, because they were part of our squad when it was first scheduled? No? Didn't think so. Shut up Ralf.
I didn’t say that. You said he carries no threat so can be left alone - that goal he created shows he can’t. The fact that the opposition don’t leave him alone shows they also don’t agree with you.
He said this when it happened because it was a well known fact nufc would spend big in January... Yesterday he was asked a question. Its just nufc fans taking everything personally as usual and failing to empathise or understand both sides have an argument. I agree with him actually because we gained an advantage on the original fixture list. Southampton have to play a stronger side than they were scheduled to play against. Whether other clubs did it too is irrelevant its still a valid opinion he had that new signings shouldn't be eligible to play... Nufc haven't broken any rules though. I hope we play gamereas and he scores the winner in the last minute
Nah - its bullshit. The argument that teams shouldn’t be allowed to play signings that were not in place when the original game was scheduled is rubbish. If you tried to apply logic like that with rescheduled sports fixtures you could start arguing that the fixture should only be played when injured players who were fit when original fixture was scheduled are fit again.
They're not going to literally leave him alone, but there's been a marked increase in the opposition chasing down our more effective players (i.e. the other 10) and subsequently making games more difficult for us. Ultimately I think he's ****ing garbage. But he's twice the player Gayle is so we're stuck with him til Wilson is back or the Summer window arrives, whichever comes first. To say I wouldn't be surprised if he never scored for us is an understatement.
You're wrong I'm afraid he had a perfectly sound argument. It's only rubbish if you ignore the reality.
