I also think this, I think that Covid stopped us cashing in at their very peak in terms of value. Btw, I also believe that while good, they’ll never reach the heights of Liverpool, simply because they were bought to fit. Just an opinion.

In any event, when we pay just £40m for Diaz and less for Jota, I’m not remotely concerned atm - I think the club have its player acquisition strategy nailed down. Am more concerned about keep Mr Klopp.

For me the only argument is where do you find the 30 odd goals salah represents and his ego and work ethic, drive etc.

But in the end they ALL age and that's just a fact.

In 2 years time we could have a jot and Diaz and salah or someone else just as we could have trent, gomez konate and tsimikas or we could still have vvd and robbo. Who knows.

I would still pay salah what he is worth and buy two cms this summer and let mane pay for it if he wants to go. I'd equally be happy seeing mane stay.

Wasn't there a quote recently where he said having found out how great the club is he wishes he'd come earlier?
Perhaps he could make up for that oversight by staying on for another ten years.

have the not noticed how this guy fails to deliver. I know he is still "only2 24 but his goal scoring record and the comments anchelotti made about his in reference to his ego suggests to me that he would be a HARD PASS.

A lot of people at Liverpool have memory of Gerrard. A lot of Liverpool ex players are still in contact with Liverpool.

Gerrard has the contacts in order to talk to and sign our exes, even ones he didn't play with.

If Wijnaldum comes back to the PL it makes sense for him not to go to a direct rival. I don't think he'd touch Newcastle again so Villa isn't a bad match. Joining up with Coutinho (if they sign him on a permanent) and Ings. <whistle>
