For more stat orientated people, a Chelsea perspective on Broja: https://theprideoflondon.com/2022/02/23/keep-sell-evaluating-armando-brojas-future-chelsea/ It explains quite sensibly (and far better than I have ever been able to) why he will not be ready for Chelsea next season not matter how many he scores in the remainder of this Their conclusion is to “sell at value” with a buyback. They quote the transfermarkt value of 7m but I assume they don’t mean this. I assume they actually mean market value I do wonder if this logic about his style and (lack of) suitability for Chelsea also apply to other potentially interested clubs. Arsenal come to mind. Likely desire for a buyback has got to put us in a good spot you would think? I don’t see the likes of Arsenal and West Ham wanting one in, or even agreeing. We also might be able to start discussions now/very soon since one condition was apparently premier league survival. Which is positive because we might be able to get an idea of likelihood well before the summer
Good to see his stats aren’t too shabby, when compared to some very good players. Goal scoring is an area where he will hopefully improve, with experience, and an area which might improve those figures is being more aware of players in better positions to score. In recent games (Utd and Everton) he has found himself in positions with just the keeper to beat, but the angle he is to the goal made the keeper favourite to keep the ball out. On those occasions there has been a Saints player running into a position, centre of goal, calling for a pass. Not knocking the guy just pointing out an area where he can improve. Just watching the really top teams you can see they are full of players who can see the bigger picture and who frequently (not always) pick out those passes for a tap in goal.

I have been on record as being critical of Dan Sheldon but I appreciated his outsider view on TSP this week. Notably how the Saints fans on their are still saying we aren’t safe from relegation whereas he is pretty confident! I mean we are 500-1 with 11 sides more likely according to the bookies
But not enough of one to still be panicking it seems Was promoted because someone on SW suggested we could start to try and negotiate for Broja given the rumours were we needed to be safe and someone replied to say “we haven’t got 40 points yet”
After watching, "Jason Dodds Rocket" video on Saints website, I was left thinking why was he sacked? I remember something or other to do with gambling? Can anyone enlighten me further?
